*sigh* If I get the word, can I send the quote on to someone else? I feel like I've had too many - I think I had the quote before Val's.
The word is "troubled" and I'll pass the quote on!

'troubled' is correct Midge. But why don't you go ahead and post anyway. After all - I had the last one before your last one, and I might well solve the next one you post too! I'll try anyway.
Besides, Varnafinde just solved the Lore Masters' Quote, so she has another quote to post and manage. So wontcha post, please, please, huh???

Thanks, Midge!

Correct guesses:
"Nay! There is/n_/time. Do not /_p_i_/ the /_o_d_r/ with /_a_t_/! I have given you my word to return hither with you, if a day of peace and freedom comes again. But it is now near to noon, and as that hour we eat, and then set out again, I hear." And we still need a speaker.

OK - I think I've got it now:
"Nay! There is no time. Do not spoil the wonder with haste! I have given you my word to return hither with you, if a day of peace and freedom comes again. But it is now near to noon, and at that hour we eat, and then set out again, I hear." S: Legolas (talking to Gimli about the Glittering Caves)

Sorry for the big hold-up here. No excuse really. I've had my eyes on a few possible quotes and will try to post one soon. Maybe late this evening.

Reminds me that I should do the next Loremaster's Quote Game.
Maybe I'll have time next week ...

You could always try the Loremaster's Quote Game while you're waiting - I've finally got a new quote up there.

buying all that I dared . . . of Eorl was "_u_k" (pretty sure that's not what I'm thinking . . . ) . . . And what of the king's blank, the halfling? Eomer . . .

Earniel - 'toy' in 4th line is wrong, and 'now' in 6th line is wrong. In 5th line, GW is correct for 'of' and 'Halfling' - otherwise Earniel's solve is correct so far.
