Just three -
At the end of the party - "Gardeners came by arangement and removed in wheelbarrows those that had inadvertently remained behind." When the presents are handed out after the party - "For Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, as a present on a case of silver spoons. Bilbo believed that she had aquired a good many of his spoons, while he was away on his former journey. Lobelia knew that quite well. When she arrived later in the day, she took the point at once, but she also took the spoons." After the balad of Gil-galad - "The others turned in amazement, for the voice was Sams. "Don't stop," said Merry. "Thats all I know," stammered Sam blushing.

Faramir
From Faramir, certainly an admirable man.
I like "I would not snare even an orc, with a falsehood" and "Tidings of Death have many wings." "I sat at night by the waters of Anduin, in the grey dark under the young, pale moon, watching the ever-moving stream; and the sad reeds were rustling." "Boromir! I cried. Where is thy horn? Whither goest thou? O Boromir! But he was gone." "I am wise enough to know there are some perils from which a man must flee." And I love this little exchange of gallantries: Sam: "Good night, Captain, my lord. You took the chance, sir." Faramir: "Did I so?" Sam: "Yes sir, and showed your quality, the very highest." Faramir: (smiling) "A pert servant, Master Samwise, but nay: the praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards. Yet there was naught in this to praise. I had no lure or desire to do other than I have done." Sam: "Ah well, sir, you said my master had an elvish air; and that was good and true. But I can say this: you have an air too, sir, that reminds me of, of--well, Gandalf, of wizards." Faramir: Maybe, Maybe you discern from far away the air of Numenor. Good night!"

This isn't from the book (I have only read the book 6 times and i can't remember the quotes from it) it is from the film. It is my favourite because it is funny. It may be incorrect so sorry if it is but here goes;
“Frodo? Merry! It’s Frodo Baggins” - Pippin “Hello Frodo” - Merry “Get off ‘im. You’ve been into Farmer Maggots crop!” - Sam “Oi! Get out of my field” - Farmer Maggot “I don’t know why he’s so upset…It’s only a few carrots” - Merry “And cabbages… and those three sacks of potatoes we lifted last week… and the mushrooms the week before that” - Pippin “My point Pippin that he is clearly over reacting” – Merry

So he isn't our concern, we don't need him!" ^_^ Isn't Dilandau just fantastic? You just have to love the insane, murderous pyro :-D |

I have several favorites from the movie:
"A little late to be trimming the verge?" -Gandalf "Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidity!" -Gandalf "My Brother. My Captain. My King." -Bormir "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." -Gandalf (again )

it would have to be none other than aragorn's
"If by my life, or death I can protect/save you, I will" *sighs* i liked the way it was placed in the movie better than in the book, it seemed more casual in the book because it was aragorn in "strider mode" saying it, it was more dramatic in the movie

One of my favourites is my sig. I think it means so much in these times.
I also like: 'Let it be a light to you in dark places, a place where all other lights, go out' - Galadriel. I think of the Lord of the Rings when I'm sad, bored or angry coz it calms me down and cheers me up. 'I only know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than hald of you half as well as you deserve' - Bilbo. This made me LMAO, it's so like Bilbo! 'It is said, "Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger"' - Gildor. 'It is also said, "Go not to the Elves for counsel, for they will say both yes and no'" - Frodo. I just like this one, it's ... well, I dunno, I just like it. 'I liked white better' - Gandalf the White. I feel it's one of the few parts that show Gandalf has a bit of an attitude. 'I would have followed you to the end' - Aragorn. 'I know' - Frodo. From the movie, but that doesn't matter. THIS is the kind of reason I like Aragorn! 'I feel that this task has been appointed for you, and if you do not find a way, no-one will' - Elrond. This is a part that really shows you how serious The One Ring situation is. 'In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit' - The Hobbit. Does this count? I really like this one, it grabs you and makes you think, whats a Hobbit? Why a hole? It's gr8. 'Well, I'm back' - Sam. Kind of ... final, isn't it? There are more, but I can't remember them off the top of my head and I don't wanna get them wrong!

I've got more!
'"Don't you leave him" they said to me. "Leave him!" I said. "I never mean to. I am going with him if he climbs to the Moon, and if any of those Black Riders try to stop him, they'll have Sam Gamgee to reckon with," I said' - Sam. This shows that Sam means to go with Frodo right to the end, it's beautiful. 'You cannot pass! I am a Servant of the Secret Fire, weilder of the Flame of Anor. You cannot pass! The dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udun. Go back to the Shadow! You cannot pass!' - Merry Brandybuck . This really shows how powerful Gandalf the Grey was. This makes what happens next more of a shock . 'No indeed! You at least shall go with him. It is hardly possible to separate you from him, even we he is summoned to a secret council and you are not!' - Elrond. This bit was funnier in the film coz Merry and Pippin were hiding as well and the look on Elrond's face when it started raining Hobbits was hilarious! Ooooooh! Sudden though - Some Mooters here could make a band, it's first hit would be, 'It's Raining Hobbits' (take on 'It's Raining Men' but, of course, you already knew that )

"Sing hey for a bath at the end of the day
That washes the weary mud away. A loon is he that will not sing, O, water hot is a noble thing." I just like that chapter. It's that last bit of light for a good while, b/c even rest at Bombadil's house was not completely restful, if I'm remebering correctly. Also: "The hostler kept a tipsy cat that played a four stringed fiddle..."

my best quote is:"Gandalf!" I said at last, but my voise was only a whisper. Did he say:"Hullo Pippin, this is a pleasant suprise!"? No, indeed! He said:"Get up, you tom-fool of a Took!"
