I can't tell you what a Tantalus-torment it has been getting notification mails for three days and not being able to get on here. Hopefully the trouble gets worked out soon.

well- i was going to email you Earniel

- but i thought well- you being a Mod you would know already!!! , and would have access anyway etc etc

it never ocurred to me you would have problems logging in!

would you not need to seek permission from mooters if this central email directory is to be publically avaialable on the web??

I, for one, might have issues with my email address being posted into a centralised list without my prior consent?

What exactly does this mean, Doc??

Mooters who wants mass email sendouts can send their adress to this adress. Others can just ignore it.

But that would defeat the purpose which is to give out general Entmoot information.

No it DOES NOT!

Mine and SGH purpose for this emaildress is to give out general information to the Mooters who have sent in their emailadresses.

Many Mooters are very infrequent visitors so only those who visit often would perhaps be in need of it.

The adress is there now. Perhaps it was a stupid idea.

Should have thought harder on it before I stomped ahead and created it.

I assumed you were just using email addys that are already available for any Mooter to access - the ones that are listed in our user info. But not everyone lists an email addy.

If you're using ones that are available only to mods, then it needs to be limited to only the mods, IMO. (but since I can't see how you'd have access to info that only mods have, I assume you're getting them from publically available info

)

That's quite ok, Rian. The project was dead from the beginning. I'm shelving it as of right now

It was a good idea, GW, and the most important thing was your heart attitude - that you were trying to be helpful to all the Mooters! That's the most important thing, IMO - that your kind heart motivated you to help
