Yes, I'm a fuzzy wuzzy cute little brown, flightless, blind thing. Fear me. Yes, "Down under" can refer to NZ as well. I thought the sheep gave it away. It doesn't look much like a marsupial.... And my accents not nearly as atrocious as an Aussie one.

I rescued a snake once. Then I found out that it was a poisonous one. Silly kiwi.

Teachers scare me they wield so much and yet so little power they are not real people really. I should know I live next to a headmaster how extremely weird to put it nicely

I fear the fact that we are taught by bigoted and small minded people. (Who are they really? They don't have anything that great. A teaching degree. Big Whoop. What gives them the right to terrify kids so?) I especially used to fear the bald little grunt of satan AKA assistant principle, who used to wield both a bible AND a raffle book. The bible was to smack you with, and the raffle book was to shanghai you to detention.

Horrid little man. I'll set my thugs onto him once I find out where he lives....

Yep!

I was thinking primarily of secondary school teachers with their little diplomas in teaching, and how they lord it over us. It's ironic, because now I've had more of an education than most of them, and they held so much over my head when I was there.

I say, they have to have a post-grad degree before I'll even consider giving them any power over me! You have no power over me... You have no power over me.... You have no power over me...

i really don't think anybody has power over anybody else, unless they are threatening you or are goverment workers. My teachers never held power over me.

relating to teachers, has anyone seen the movie donnie darko?
i was watching it with commentary, and at one point in the film, drew barrymore runs outside and screams f**k! because she was fired for being a good teacher, and her husband who is also a teacher, won't continue a converstaion with donnie becuase he is afraid of a fate the same as his wive's (sp?)
in the commmantary, the writer says (about drew barrymore) "i don't know one GOOD teacher who hasn't wanted to scream like that at least one point in their career."
my mother is also a teacher, she isn't allowed to say jack sheet about ANYTHING . and it's frustrating...
so the good teachers get fired or quit or never bother starting, so we are stuck with the poeple who love to put their morals in the wrong places (cough cough, my band teacher, cough) or the people who don't know what they are doing (cough cough, my block class teachers..)
so you see, that's why most people domn't like their teachers. of course their are still a nice handful of the quality teachers around, like you, afro elf, or my mom (but she is really looking kindly at the idea of quitting, which furthur illustates my point) and my math taecher, hawker!

wait to be even the slightest bit on topic here,
im afraid of having pain in flicted on me by others, i can cause pian to my self (even though i am usually in a dreamlike state, but no matter!), but i don't like others hurting me, physical or no.

I must go cold turkey to california tomorrow for a week, and leave behind my Soundtrack of LotR which I have listened to every day forever, and my computer with Entmoot on it, and my copies of LotR . . .is this an addiction? Can I handle withdrawal?
Is California even part of the real universe?
Fear of being without LotR . . .
