Ulmo no question. Water was the holiest element y'know.
Mandos is pretty cool though. I loved that line "so it is doomed".

Since this is the more correct place to post this:
Ulmo - As has been said, he never forsook the children of Iluvatar, even when they were exiled and cursed. Yavanna - Was instrumental in preparing ME for the Children of Illuvatar. Without her there are no olvar and kelvar. And people starve to death. Nienna - Understands the sorrow of living in a fallen world. Nessa - Music and dance...with sorrow must also come joy. Vaire, Namo, Irmo....all of these are pretty intriguing...wish they had larger roles in the Silm. Last edited by Embladyne : 02-27-2005 at 12:53 PM. |

Nienna ~ wisdom and hope through sorrow... I like that
Ulmo ~ I love the sea Nessa ~ and the forests... and she's a dancer!

Tulkas: He wrestled Melkor and cast his face in the mud. Need I say more?
Namo Mandos: I like the way that although he has the ability to make prophecies he never stops people by doing things by saying 'If you do that you'll all die'

If I remember correctly he said that you will cry a lot, suffer greatly and then die. There's a certain difference...

My personal favorite of all of the Valar would be Aulë the Smith! He made the dwarves! No other Valar wasd able to create an entire race of people!

Totally Ulmo. He seems to be more connected to the lives of the elves. I'm reading around pg. 175 mark and they are still building towns in his honor.

Ulmo or Manwe I think. I am the Lord of Eagles, so Manwe got to be there. And Ulmo is really cool, for what he did to the humans.
