I haven't read too much of the hobbit, I only started reading it a couple of days ago, but here's a question (hope no one has asked it within the 2 last pages ):

After the dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf had left Rivendell, there was a thunderstorm. Who was/were sent to find a better place to spend the night?
