I was just saying that the German languages often takes words from other languages and keeps them without translating.

Thanks! Ironically, someone had already translated the word 'ubersetzen' for me, and I'd forgotten what it meant..

Terve, Nerdanel! Hur är det? Jag har bara läst vad du skrev i The Happy Thread och nu jag insåg att jag saknar att prata med dig på svenska. Men då jag har mer tid ska jag genast svara till dej!

Jag har gjort många fel för jag är lite trött, men jag ville säga hejsan på dejsan.

Ja, wenn Mooten ein Regular verb ist. Ich glaube es wird 'Wann mochten Sie am meisten mooten' sein, aber ich weiss nicht.

Mooten muss auch kurz fur Entmooten sein.

zB
ich moote
du mootest
er/sie/es mootet
wir mooten
sie mooten
ihr mootet
Sie mooten

heehee!

Great! Richtig toll konjugiert.

If you want to say "When do you most like to moot?" then it is:
Wann möchten Sie am liebsten mooten?

Question to everyone: If you're speaking German/French/other language that distinguishes between formal and informal "you" to someone online, which kind of "you" do you use before you get to know them well?

On messageboards like these, always informal. But with important mails to professors or other people, usually formal.

Sigh, I take it nobody here knows much latin, then?

Hmm, on Messages Boards I usually use the informal "you" - Du. Because these boards are fan boards and the people there are usually my age.

When writing mails to persons I don't know (firms etc.) I'm using the formal "you" - Sie, but not with people at my age.

Not me. But I've asked in a language chatroom several times and posted about it- still waiting for responses. I'll try a latin forum maybe.

Wow, thanks for the effort, Lin. I've been wondering if there would be translator sites for latin, just like there are for other languages. I'm just not sure they could translate the nominative/dative whatchamacallits *thinks*... cases.
