I'm not certain he said this, but I thought it mentioned that "Elvish singing wasn't a thing to miss", or something along those lines.

So far, the closest guess was when Valandil said it was too loud.
One clue: Bilbo heard the "lullaby" I'm talking about when he passed through Rivendell on his way home.
