A breath of cold
grips, and twists
Evil of old
burnt away like mists.

The Black Breath/ Ringwraiths?

Willow Oran, when you said that the answer to your other riddle was mentioned only once or twice in all the books, did you mean the Sil too?

Elf Girl, is it Thorin's company of dwarves?

Cassiopeia, is it the tree-top hideouts that Haldir and his elves slept in?

Carafin, your first one, is it in the Silmarillion?

Willow, is it the guises of Draugluin and Thuringwethil that Beren and Luthien wore?

Alright, I just went through the books and made up riddles about some random things in them so here they are.

1) A melted icicle
of a slain spark
gone in the second
twice 34

2) Usurper dead
the right restored
enemy established
by civil war

3) Bell with one ring
causing three to be cast
the wise one will ring the loudest

4) A day of circles
a double birth
a feast both in
the third and fourth

5) A unique mention
the sister of oak
and mother of twins

6) An eldest girl
of letters fond
a storage for wasted
writings was left in her care.

Most of these are pretty specific about what they're looking for. Have fun!

Very wild guesses .

Mirahzi, I'll give it to you, it was a talon or flet.

Willow: Is your 2nd one about the civil war because a king married someone of lesser blood? Darn, I can't remember exactly what or who it was. Is your 4th one about the undying lands being removed from the circles of the world?

I have a new one:

Hot as a fire
Wet as a lake
Bubbly as a brook
Slippery as a snake

not the destruction of the ring or the ring wraiths. a hint the first riddle is about good the second about evil.

Cassiopiea: is it the liquor the orcs use? I've forgotten the name
or the poison spilling from Shelob's belly?
I know farfetched, but...

No one has guessed mine. Here is a last hint, as I am going away for a week. (And when I come back I'll be 12!)

They all (forboding and merry ones) originated in the same place.

Ringbearer- You are very, very close for #4, I'm looking for a specific name for that day.

Cassiopeia- You are very close for #2, right war, but which battle in the war?

Hint: All of the answers are very specific names for events, people, things etc.

None of the other guesses were at all close.
