I tried to get him to calm down. I don't know why he got his panties in a twist.

He's been involved in several back and forths between other mooters and never has he lost it like that. So, he can only blame himself for his banning. Though,

I really didn't think he would get banned. He's one of the people that's been here a long time.

He wouldn't talk to me, I guess he's pissed off. So I don't know how long he's banned for. Anyone that knows want to say?

And, not trying to be too critical, SGH, but didn't you contribute some by continuing of the flames? All you had to do was just not participate in it and I think it would have ended.

Well, it's probably not fair to discuss Coney since he isn't here anymore.

I did not flame JD with the exception of one post that I recall, and that was after a multitude of flames and my having to edit and re-edit his posts.. As an administrator, it is my job to participate in threads that spin out of control such as this one did, to try and settle or defuse the situation. JD frankly made that impossible to do. I could have closed the thread, but Hobbit and I felt that by leaving it open, it would give JD a chance to redeem himself, which he did not do, therefore, he is now banned. His banning has actually defused the situation and calmed the thread down considerably. Hopefully it will stay that way.
