A little update: the final pencil drawing is almost finished. I'll scan it when ready to submit it to your judgement. Adding the Elven face didn't work out, sorry RÃ*an. But I might be adding a mug of entdraught. Am now looking into nicking BJ's Entmoot-font.

Here's the pencil version. It won't be inked until I'm absolutely certain this is the final draft. So if you have any comments about it, feel free to say them now. Now is the time as I don't think I'm getting to inking very soon, I got big and scary paper defending on Friday.

I got a bit worried about it being too detailed but judging from the cafepress site detail isn't really an issue. At least I hope it isn't.

Anyone wanting to colour it on computer? I can colour it myself with aquarel paint but I'm thinking computer colouring might be more uniform and prettier. I'm not sure how cafepress handles too many colour gradations.

Oh, and *snickers* Ben, it might be a good time to update some parts of the Tolkientrail: "The shirts will be great for your trip to the LotR movie or Entmoot 2001."

Thank you for bringing this memory back to me. All through childhood I had two sets of colour pencils that I used to colour in with. The main set, my favourite, was Colleen, and the "other" set that I only remember seeing but never using, was Aquarel.

I really, really like it! The coffee/tea mug finished it off just right

The only addition I can think of is the "hair" - I really like the "hair" of the Ent holding up the mouse in your sketches on the previous page - I like the leaves - it makes it softer and more "hair"-like, IMO.
