Just saw Ladder 49. BEAUTIFUL. It was really good. The ending was surprising to me, though.

'Keep on'?
I never liked John Travolta- at least not since I saw 'Grease'. But I actually liked him in this role. His intro is funny as all get out.

Yeah, it makes me angry, too, that all those lies can be presented as truth .... But that's another thread.

As Good as it Gets - oh, that's one of those movies that I've seen parts of at one time and parts at another - I really need to rent it and watch it through. I enjoyed the parts I saw!

I heard Sky Captain was fun, but not great, and Hobbit seems to agree. I think I'll pass on that one.

My husband and oldest son saw I, Robot and enjoyed it - another fun but not great movie.

And speaking of Will Smith, a friend saw that new animated fish movie - fun but not as original as Nemo.

I was going to see the Vanity Fair adaptation, but it's already out of the theaters! I'll keep an eye on the local cheepie theater and see if it pops up there. Anyone seen it? I love the book!

It was a good movie, it's not the greatest movie but its a classic Tarantino film. It's his style. You have to be into low budget, independant style films. Personaly I lke these types better to the huge hollywood blockbusters because they tend to be more personal and more in depth. Thats just MHO though. I liked the first one and if you like sword fighting or independent style filming check it out Rosie.

Yeah she was pretty awsome, I liked her and O-Ren Ishii best put of all of the characters in both films.

Oh and I just saw the last portion of SLC Punk last night.

I must say that I've heard it has some good martial arts fighting, including good sword work. Short of the "flying stuff" the rest has been given a thumbs up in the martial arts community. After all , it's a piece of fluff, not a docudrama.

Hobbit and Starr - as for me, I didn't claim it was ALL lies, and my sources were other that the Internet, except for Beor's opinions (our formerly-resident Army-guy-in-Iraq that saw it and commented on it). And I think someone can make a valid comment on a film if they haven't seen it, based on other people's research and comments.

I just had 'Blade' (Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff) out from my college library, and that wa sgood,
and also 'Interview With the Vampire' (Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas, Christian Slater, Kirsten Dunst) and that also was good
I also Got Two Towers EE from the library, I already own all 3 of LOTR which were the final editions, but the EE was excellent, as it added so much to my viewing pleasure that were a lot of writing
