yes, rules are great.
the rules are most the same on every board, aren't they?
well, rules is somethign you need at every thing in life.
so you can break them
but i shall try not to break any rules.

I noticed this from the rules:

Quote:
New users should introduce themselves in the Official Welcome Thread, and not start their own introduction thread. Threads proclaiming the status of your title are only allowed at the Elven Lord (500 posts) level, if attained 45 days or more after initial registration. (This is to discourage spamming). Members reaching the Elven Lord level are also entitled to a custom title.
If you start a thread called "yay I'm an Elven Lord" or whatever, wouldn't that be a spam thread, even though it's technically allowed? People don't tend to do this anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter.

There's always a party in the Teacup Café when posters hit significant milestones... EarthBound is coming up to her 100th post!

Threads about your status after 500 posts are usually short lived anyway. How much can be said about it, other than a few congratulations.

This is true.

Hey, I've got another question for you, can you delete rubbish like cigmania's spam? Not just padlock I mean. Now we have to look at the thread as it floats down the page. (Or maybe you could edit the title too... )

If not... bump the threads good Mooters! *bump* *bump*

Don't worry, with the action that goes on in this forum, it will move down and off the main page in no time.

Yeah, but what about the Entertainment forum, that will take ages. Oh well, just a minor beef. The thread will serve to make everyone not want to be an evil spammer.

Oopsie, I just deleted it, I think. No use letting that take up the space we could be using for ogling the Men of the Silmarillion.

I hate people that don't read and follow the guidelines. Its not that hard to do. I've visited many large forums and for some reason they always attract idiots that don't know how to follow a few simple rules.

Can we safely assume that we know all the rules if we read only the first post in this thread? or are we supposed to read the whole thread?
(Please, say answer is number 1 )
Thanks
