Ruinel,
actually, i CAN'T go to church due to issues with my non-christian dad. So,I do bible study at my home with my friends and family. I beleive churches are good to go to because they promote fellowship with other beleivers, which is good for helping each other build in faith. I just do this at home.

I'm aware of the meaning of the word "Christian" ; and knowing humanity in general, I'm quite sure you're not Christ-like! (of course, neither am I )
I suppose I could re-word it by saying: is being Christ-like something you see as a good thing and strive for, or not?

Christian is IMBHO, a term that just shouldn't be used, because people assume that everyone who is a "christian" believes the same way. IE. take the Mormons and the Catholics. Both considered "Christian" yet one is a cult and the other is a hugely followed religion(Again my opinion, you catholics out there, sorry ). People lump the murderers who supposedly kill in Gods name as Christian. Yet if you look at their beliefs in comparison to ANY version of the Bible, they are cultists. (I use cult as a general term here)

But Jews aren't Christians as I said in both of my posts, Christian -- CHRISTian. See?
If that looked condescending I apologize. So if Jews aren't CHRISTians, then neither is any other religion (regardless if they believe in the same god) that don't deify CHRIST.

If my answer is wrong (I have misunderstood something) or unclear, it's because I didn't sleep all night to monday and haven't slept much since then either (was in queue for RotK-tickets).

Sorry to burst THAT bubble I am not saying Catholics aren't good people, or even godly people in most aspects, except for a few doctrinal things.

Brill, those are fighting words jk
To dovetail what Ruinel said, if the pope is an idol, then every priest, minister, pastor, whatever, from any denomination is just as much an idol. Catholics do not worship Mary or the Saints, we worship only the Triune God--Father, Son, Holy Spirit. We ask the saints for their intercession just as we would ask you, our friends or our neighbors to pray for us. We believe that the Church is a community of believers that spans all of history, including those who are still living and those who are enjoying the beatific vision (the saints). Who better for us to ask to pray for us than those in the presence of God in his heavens? Seeing as how the Catholic Church is a little under 2000 years old, can you pinpoint a moment in history when the Catholic Church stopped being Christian? Was this before or after the Church compiled the canon of Scripture? Unfortunately, the Catholic Church hasn’t been too good about making itself known. Common misconceptions about Catholicism is the fault of Catholics not living up to their Christian expectations, but hopefully this will change in the near future. If you have any questions about Catholicism, I would be happy to answer your questions in PM. Regards, Dave
