Oh, I don't have any. But my last pet was a black cat called Sheba (cos of her hairy legs, get it? get it?), and the one before that was a black cat called Rebel, and the one before that was a black cat called Midget.... What? You think I have an obsession with black cats? Why don't you come over here and say that?!

I had a boxer once named Casius and a Siamese cat name Vladimir.
I plan on getting a rabbit one of these days. I think I'll name him Coney.

I've got a fern named (you guessed it) Bill.
Two cats, Pulau Tigger (after the Survivor island. Yes, I watch that show), and because I wanted their names to be alliterative, the other cat is Pixel Tinuviel.

My cats are all named boring things, but by bird is kinda interesting. His name is Tofu, and that can get interesting sometimes, like for instance, when we have tofu for dinner.

My pets names: Ameka ( a lizard), Whisteria, (a grey cat) Cupid (a german sheperd/husky/wolf that was born Feb 14), Zib, Zob, Xena and Zorn (zebra finches)
Keeping on topic: I truly want to name one of my girl children a Tolkien name, or a something in Quenya. I've always loved odd names. Currently, some of my favorites are Bryony and Rosmarin (yeah, I know, herbs ). I'm 'at risk' for twins (my grandmother had twins) and I would name then Gwendolyn and Guinevere, if they were both girls.

well, assuming that someday I have kids...
of course I'd like to give them Tolkien names, but I'm sure that won't go over well with other influential family members. Among the better names I've picked out Beren, Samwise (I've always liked the name Sam, but not Samuel), Eowyn (she frickin' rocks my world). it would suck to be named Elrond Hubbard. Really.

Since when did we go from children to pets? Wasn't there a separate thread for LOTR-petnames? Well whatever...
As for children, Emerwen, Elanor and Cirdan are still my favorites. As for pets, we have two cats a smoke and white one Smaug (often called Smaugism) and a black one Jinx (although my sister calls him Fatty but I resent that)

Durlomiel: LOL
Yeah, you have to have a spouse who also likes unusual names, or you're stuck w/ normal ones. My cat had 2 kittens when I was a kid that I named Rivendell and Goldberry. |

You think Elrond Hubbard is messed up?
What about Ancalagon The-Black Hubbard? Okay, okay, I'll tone it down a little with the Ancalagons... How about Manwe Hubbard? Or Fingolfin Hubbard. Or better yet, Finarfin Hubbard. Say that last one really quick, ten times. |

Manwe Hubbard isn't too bad -- but I think the name Fingolfin with any last name sounds a little funny. Could you imagine the other kids' reaction when the teacher called his name for the roll call on the first day of school?
