Actually, on the modern spectrum it mentioned mostly one American movement. The one that is now the Advent of the seventh something.
But I didn't link the article to discuss it, I was just stating that I was reading it linked to the talk on the End of Times that had come up.

Now I'd like a nice cup of tea.

I think I'll get wild and have green tea with mandarin.
Anyone else?

I could use some tea. I'm about to turn in an application for a Half Price bookstore I found out is hiring and I'm kind of nervous. I REALLY hope they need me. Please don't make me have to start working fastfood

Hehe I avoid fastfood restaurants like the plague!

There's always something else. My summerjobs (i've not always worked in the summers.. spoiled

) first as a newspaperboy (15yo), a kiosk on the beach (17yo), a retail-store for electronics (20yo), a flower store (21yo,

seriously! lots of old ladies bought flowers there

) and latest is serving at a cafe this summer (22yo), which so far has been fun.

I've yet to work in a bookstore..

I worked fastfood for two months when I was 16, and quit because I was being harassed and my stupid boss wouldn't do anything about it. Also because I had an allergic reaction to the cleaning chemicals and lost feeling in all of my fingers because I got a really thick callus that even letting my hands marinate overnight in vasaline every night wouldn't take away till I quit and stopped having to mess with the chemicals.

It sucked

Yuck.

I worked fast food for a year and finally quit because the repetition of the same tasks and phrases over and over again, sometimes without a pause in customers for entire eight hour shifts, the coming home covered in shake syrup and smelling of french fry grease and the incessant stupidity of the customers, the bad co-workers and the muzak were stealing my sanity and my energy.

Never mind the effects of being constantly on one's feet and moving in a crowded space, of washing one's hands under bleach-water at least once every half an hour or of working near the grill in summer while on medication with dehydration as a primary side effect...

I think your calluses still take the cake for sheer nastiness though.

No more fast food for us.

Fast-food sucks!!!! I worked for a drive-in called Sonic as a carhop. The tips sucked and my boss kept finding ways to take them. I was also doing demonstrations as well, (paid more) and one of the bosses finally said I couldn't work two jobs and come in whenever I wanted, even though the store manager had oked it when I started. That's one job I don't miss.

How is everyone. I gotta go buy cooler work shirts tomorrow. The photo lab is HOT! Even with four fans going. And I get to "babysit" one of the three musketeers and keep her from destroying the machines.
