no worries, Lotesse, I assumed you didn't see my post, not surprising since we nearly posted at the same time IIRC

Elanor, is that painting by Hieronymous Bosch? Hieronymus Bosch? I've seen both spellings and I'm not sure which is correct. Don't know the title either, but the style reminds me of Bosch's masterpiece, Garden of Earthly Delights.

It's Bosch, and it's The Haywain.

Sort of like Constable on LSD

Yes, I chose one of Bosch's tamer paintings...

My dad and aunt made up a song about Bosch when they were kids (their parents were both painters so they grew up with lots of exposure to art). It started something like this:

We are the creatures of old Bosch,
He painted us with a big paint brush.

But I can't remember the rest. Why don't you each put one up, Hasty Ent and Draken?

While we're waiting on Draken & Hasty Ent, thought I'd give you all something to chew on... I have always dug on this particular artist.

Yep, I like this guy, too, Lotesse. In 1986 I was lucky enough to see an exhibit of his in East Berlin:
Rauschenberg Overseas Culture Interchange

I'll think on what image to post.

this one is probably difficult, so I'll leave a few clues:

the Rauschenberg Lotesse posted reminded me of an exhibit in East Berlin, which reminded me of Berlin and my trip there when I briefly stayed in this artist's studio.... this artist produced socially critical work, and in later years he made work in partnership with his wife (such as the installation below)

not Dada, Lotesse.... that particular piece was produced in the late 70s

starting in 1973, he and his wife spent half of each year in Berlin

he lived and worked in LA for a long time

Hasty Ent, that one piece you listed, it's not Marcel Duchamp, is it?
