OK. I'm not all that good at German. I usually drive Mum "mad" when I read German out aloud from a book or a text (which I can) but as for understanding the language altogether, that's just not in me.

I would say yes, because secretive suggests your intent rather than what you actually are. Was it just a random question?

Not really. I'm reading a book called The Holy blood & The Holy Grail where information on a secret society has portioned out piecemeal and it appears as if a lot people in France, Great Britain and some other countries knows about this particular secret society and that's why I thought that it should be called a secretive society instead, meaning that people could know about it's existance and perhaps a few details of the organisation (which they appear to do) instead of not knowing anything about it all which I think was the purpose of a secret society.

Oh, I see. I hope Janny hears you're reading that - he's read it and has some views I'm sure

It's pretty interesting. The first half just being about The Knights Templar, The Prieuré de Sion and their conflicts with the Pope and Co.

Now I'm on the second half which is about The exiled jewish tribe of Benjamin and the possible survival of Jesus and his consequent marriage to the Magdalen and so forth.

Lalaith, ich habe nicht alles verstehen, aber ja, Sonne-Sterne ist meiner Schwester.

Um... I don't really have views on the Holy Blood and the Holy Grail... I'm a bit hazy to what it was claiming etc etc... something about Et in Acradia Ego by Pousin?

The whole earthshattering secret which they constantly offer the reader glimpses of is that Jesus survived the cruxifiction, married Mary Magdelene and she got pregnant carried the child to Marseilles, France where the bloodline which later became the Merovingians ended up in Dagobert II and continued in Sigisbert IV and the Plantard family which still exists.

Lalaith, wenn 'ubersetzen' auf Englisch 'explain' ist, dann nein. Wenn es etwas anderes ist, dann ja bitte.

Grey_Wolf, I remember now, but whether it's true or not, no-one really pays attention to it...

"The Powers-that-be" would have to care for the whole thing to work (meaning reinstating Merovingian monarchy in France). And they don't, so it won't.

'Ubersetzen' (can't do umlauts) heisst 'translate', glaube ich.

Übersetzen heißt wirklich "translate".
"Explain" wäre eher "erklären".
