Lin, always studying languages.
The appropriate answer to Ha det! (which is really a contraction of Ha det så bra!) is Tack och ha det så bra själv! (that is Thanks and be well yourself)

Lock it up?? Lock it up?? What on earth or some other Star Warsian planet does that mean?

Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who happen to be walking about. ~ Mercutio... erm, GK Chesterton.

It means that they lock threads which doesn't conform to their all too obvious unhumourous disposition.

Again I don't really understand. Do they ban you from starting threads which don't stick to nerdish Star Wars trivia?

One of the threads I started was a composition of "Your fav SW scenes and other related matters". And just because they had 30 other threads, each with one separate subject they couldn't accept my combined thread which I thought was in many ways better. But there are other instances when I found them to be dry and unhumourous and "not getting it". That's why I like Entmoot a lot 'cause here people are lighter minded and funny and humourous.

Oh, geloof me maar, dat ben ik. I still can't believe the apparent ease with which you catch up with other languages.

Erm. I didn't exactly write all of that myself; I kind of got others to translate most of it for me. I can't pick up languages if I've never studied them! Had a look at Dutch word order today and nearly had a heart attack. And I am bad enough with easy Swedish word order.
Thanks for those kind words but I can't really take the credit, much as I'd like to.

Hej!

Could any of you tell me some veggie dishes that I can find on a Swedish menu?

Tack.

I had a look at my mini Swedish dictionary that my friend gave me, and the only dish without vegetables in the Menu Reader that I could find there was hasselbackspotatis - sliced potatoes covered with melted butter then roasted. Mm. I'm craving Janssons among other things now.

I'm listening to some Swedish radio, and I can hear someone who I've emailed with regards to a Swedish course at the University of Melbourne- Catrin Norrby, who teaches it there. I thought maybe it was some strange coincedence- but this woman's famous, I guess!

Tack, Lin. Mmmhhhhhmmm. Janssons Frestelse. Love it.

Got something for you:

Wir sind Helden - Denkmal

Komm mal ans fenster, komm her zu mir

da steht in goldener Schrift
wir sollen in Ewigkeit ruhen

HOL DEN VORSCHLAGHAMMER.....

Thanks for the list.
Now I only need to look up the English names.

Probably I should by myself a small Swedish-German dictionary.

Thanks. You should make up random letter combinations and hear them attempt to pronounce it. Swedish 'hjhjahdfjdsfh' is funny.

I'll try again. But now, unfortunately, there seems to be a lot of traffic on that site so I can't load it up.

That's a funny website. The persons actually sound English, French, Swedish etc, even though they have a funny pronunciation sometimes

Now when I got in again I actually could hear (though it took a bit) what I had written. Very funny. Thanks again, Lin
