Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who happen to be walking about. ~ Mercutio... erm, GK Chesterton.

Why only a few months? Which languages? Don't stress, you're good with languages.

Anyone have any poetry in other languages they want to share? I'd like to read some, I've only really read Swedish, Indonesian, Chinese, Italian poetry.

The people at starwars.com and theonering.org got to be the driest and most unhumourous (is that the word?) people in the whole world of the Net. I don't know why I keep visiting them in the futile hope that they're changed into a funloving crowd?

Hmm, maybe. But it's interesting you choose to post this in the languages thread. Do they speak geekish there?

I don't know about geekish but I've noticed that anytime I've posted a supposedly funny post the only response they have is LOCK IT UP! LOCK IT UP! LOCK IT UP!. So Lockese is their major language.

It means Have a very good time, buddy! or it could also mean Wish you all the best! (until we see each other again).

Usually one just says:Ha de!

Dank je! Ik heb vergeten het eerder te noemen.

Oh, I just learnt the difference between the stressed and unstressed forms of Nederlands pronouns. Jij zou fier zijn!

Thank you for the translation. Tack.

What would you say is an appropriate answer to that sentence?

Lin, always studying languages.
