I know this thread is podding along, but itll pick up once ROTK comes out and everyone gets a healthy bout of LOTR mania into their systems

How can we survive that long?!

Why wait? If we stop now to wait for three months the odds are small that there still be enough TLA'ers still left or interested to continue. Beat the iron when it's hot, is my opinion.

I suggest we keep Beren as public character, therefore playable by everyone. As for the rest of us, I like NQ's suggestion of appearing at appropriate or inapproriate times.

I second all that...I think we should keep going now. But I agree that after RotK comes out, if the story isn't finished by then, we'll probably get a fresh burst of TLA Scheming (tm. )

I just had an idea. Willow blessed/cursed baby Morauthien with having to marry a mortal, didn't she? How about the TLA wanting to make sure the prediction comes true? I was thinking along the lines that we see Beren do a runner, we think "Hey, wouldn't he be perfect for (not so baby anymore) Morauthien?". We herd him unnoticed to Doriath, we work behind the screens to make sure he meets up with NQ, we might even use the opportunity to sneak into Morgoth's lair when Morauthien and Beren go for the sillymarils so the rest of the TLA can try to get at Mr. Nelson.

It would give the other TLA-members an excuse to hang around in the neighbourhood of Beren and Morauthien. And Willow's reputation as godmother would be saved. What do you think?

Works for me. I gotta help keep the reputation of my fellow god-people clean, you know.

Sounds good to me! Both work, and I'm sure TLAers can't resist having a finger in every pie... what a straqnge saying that is.... lol...

But yeah, Beren and Morauthien would make an excellent distraction for Morgoth while you rescue mr Nelson

Should I be helping you guys with the downfall of my master?

Should I just bugger off right now?

Well, as I said we can try to get at Mr. Nelson, there's no telling we'll actually succeed. After all Beren managed to get only one of the Silmarils out of Morgoth's crown before Morgoth woke up. (I hope that wasn't a spoiler to anyone) So even if the TLA'ers are there in Morgoth's lair and find Mr. Nelson, there's no telling if we even manage to drag him out and send him to the time he belongs in. Quite probably we won't, because the game would be over too soon. But then again there is no telling except by playing.

Do you mean 'downfall' as in permanent, Katt? In that case I think it's little too early. However nothing stops you from a little two-timing (as I believe the expression is, my dictionary doesn't know). You might help the TLA a little while still remaining, your evil minion-of-Morgoth-y self. And no need to bugger off just yet.

Just pretend you were with us all along but didn't say much. That's easier.

Quote:
OOC: "Christiana: *still smiling* The reports about my supposed death are greatly exaggerated..." ST: TNG right? Picard almost dies getting his artificial heart fixed and Polaski saves him. I didn't really like Polaski. I got it though!
Actually, I believe it's originally a quote from an English or Irish writer. I forgot which. But I've seen it quoted in at least three different TV-shows. I suppose it's a very suitable quote for such situations.(I believe the EMH-doctor said it in a Voyager-episode too)

And Dr. Chrusher was a much better doctor than that nagging Pulaski-woman, but that's off topic.

And before I forget to post it again: The drawing of Zandalf from our last TLA-installment. To be coloured as soon as I figured out just how to make slightly opaque with my watercolours.

FREAK RAIN!!!!!!!! O.o

Queen of prolonged unexplained absences and long, loooong car rides.

Well, hullo everyone. As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably.

Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia.

Cheers!
