Yeah, I think there was a general tone of ripping off chains in the dance routine.

But if you missed the TV, then you really missed seeing Norway...

Can I ask other Euro mooters? This music in the competition doesn't reflect the general music scene in your counrties, does it?

In Norway it does...

Out of interest, do you know where the House of Saxen-Coburg-Gotha still is the royal house?

Depends on which radio channel you listen too, I suppose. Thinking of our last entry, I wouldn't know, since I never even heard it.

apart from engalnd you mean, seeing as how they only changed their name to 'windsor' because of the war
and we always stick up for you anyway, without bringing family ties into things j/k

I think that, more than on political basis, the votes are given on demographical basis, ie inmigration.

That would explain why countries vote for the other countries of their area: there are possibly a number of inmigrants from those countries...

Well, seen they changed their name to Windsor, they can hardly still be called Saxen-Coburg-Gotha, now can they? So yes, I meant apart from England.

I agree. The Belgian commentators also seemed of like mind. How often I heard during the voting: "Oh, there's a large Turkish community in Germany" "There live many people of country A in country B." and so on, and so on. It was so bad, it was almost funny.

Bumpidy bump.

I'm surprised no one thought of bumping this thread. Or is everyone still completely thunderstruck by the band of orcs that Finland sent in in the semi-finals?

I wasn't going to bump it until the competition actually started But those Finland guys look great - and the British entry's awful from what I've heard of it (no changes there then )

Yes, well, some of us weren't so lucky to be allowed straight into the finale and had survive the semi-finals.

Not that we managed that either, though. No surprise there.

I wonder how well the Finnish orcs will do tonight. Their make-up and outfit is rather brilliant. The song isn't too bad either. Imagine what if they'd win.

This man does not represent us. We have Shakespeare. Really. We do have culture.

No, vote Lithuania! If you manage to convince an entire continent to let you sing and dance in such a fashion in front of their collective televivions for three minutes, you really are the winners of Eurovision...

What did Belgium like so much about Armenia?

8 points for the UK so far... We should have entered some orcs, evidently this is popular

Woot! What a load of nonsense this all is. Wouldn't political union with these people be on the whole a bad thing?
