What he did to poor Claudia aside, I definitely liked Lestat. Guess I'm drawn to the sexy inhuman monster of doom type. . ."seduced by evil" as my friends would say Is that a reasonable explanation for my obsession with darkness? heheheh

Thank you ever so much, Bryant, for stating your point of view. I'll keep that in mind next time I throw crushed flowers into the breeze or sit beneath a tree and whistle in hopes of calling wind, or pick flowers for my friends on May Day, or anything of the sort, that I am helping Satan. . .

I feel it is only fair to point out that you have stated a few times that Christians help to propogate an arrogant, elitist attitude. (and we won't even get into Elfhelm... )

I should work on not generalizing

Yes, I have said things that could be (mis)interpreted that way. However, it is true that (generally speaking) the basics of the Christian faith include the concept that they are right, everyone else is wrong, and all other gods are false. Please, try and deny that, I'll laugh. And yay for Elfhelm.

uh-hu.... i fell of my settee when i was watching it, i fund it that funny..... fav part was when lestat was dancing with the dead woman.... and in the car. I don't like claudia much.... and the whole hair thing was hillarious too

some of us are attracted to darkness because it's what we've always lived and grown up in. it can be quite hard to get rid of it.... for those who want to. and others are drawn to darkness by modern things, such as people glamorising vampires.

and i don't care if people discriminate me, i proud to be pagan.... and if your wiccan it's the same thing, but just the practise of magic as well

A german word? Nice.
Have you thought of searching in Transylvania for a Vampire? I heard that they have some.

i just recently watched Nosferatu again for the first time in a very long time. forgot how cool that dracula story was and how the whole vampire thing was very much a metaphor for the coming of a plague. i prefer the vampire in that to the classic pretty boy ones.

Though my favourite Dracula was Gary Oldman, Nosferatu was my second favourite. I definitely agree with you. Jack Pallance was cool, too, though. Unfortunately, he was the only really good thing in that movie.

Try Wallachia...as far as I know Transylvania is just the setting for Bram Stoker's novel. And in the Carpathians, yes, but I'd go for a general Easter Europe tour if you want vampires there.

I love how they show that tiny clip of Nosferatu in Interview with the Vampire--in that montage of Louis watching films. . .

Well, but she wasn't a vampire. She was just a sadist and a rich one, from a noble family... so, she got away with murder (literally) for a long time before she was caught.

Yes, but she's often associated with Vampires. And I've ocassionally heard the rumour that she drank virgin blood.
