Copy and paste from the "Where Can I Find" thread...
I found this website that has this really cool version of the music in question. The guy combined the music from the trailer with the original version and filled in the gaps by himself. Once you go here, download "Requiem of the Rings".

Hi!
I havn't been on this site for ages!!!!!!! but we have finally got the net up and running again!! i havn't read all of the other posts but my favourite character in the film is definately Orlando Bloom as Legoals he is so lovely!!!Legolas is a good fighter too and has cool weapons! my friend however would dissagree and say Elijah Wood (he's horrible though!) |

That link you posted is just... wow! Though I didn't like the first quarter of the music...my version of the theme from Requiem of a Dream doesn't ahve that wailing behind it.

Time
In the movie, they didn't take as much time to do things as in the book. For example, they spent about a month in Lorien, and I'm sure it took about 20 days to go from Bree to Rivendell.
Some forms of media, like movies, don't lend themselves to going over long periods of time. |

Who's gonna play Dumbledore? My friend reackons Gandalf should, and then in exchange Harry Potter could play a Hobbit!
I was like O.K |

What the hey?
Um... sudden topic change... but Richard Harris rawks.
Even though the two wizards are very different, I think that Ian McKellan would do a good job because he succeeds in the wise, kick-ass wizard role. This would cause one problem though, we'd be watching Harry Potter and we'd just think... hey, that's Gandalf. It would be like the Agent Smith - Elrond thing. This happens partly because Hugo Weaving speaks exactly the same way in both roles. The Matrix has you Frodo... Maybe Sir Ian McKellan would vary that aspect of his (potential) new character more. |

I don't think that mckellan would want to play dumbledore. i imagine he'll look for something different so he won't get stuck in a rut. although, with roles like Gandalf and Magneto under his belt, I don't know how you could get much more varied.

I believe this has gone off topic. *checks thread title* Yep. Definitely off topic. Please move back to the original discussion of the new trailer.

Nuthin much more to say except to repeat Finrod's scream, which I deduce was one of "I can't wait any longer for the Extended Version/ the Two Towers to come out . . ."
I like the scene in which Aragorn pushes open the doors -- hope to see his new kingly side emerge. |

Cleverness
It is pretty cunning all right!
I think what is implied in the "He is not coming back" thing is that after he goes through the paths of the dead, he's not Strider anymore, he's the King of Gondor. In going through the Paths of the Dead, he claimed his debt as Isuldur's heir, acknowledging that he is Isuldur's heir.
