Well, well done to her too then! So - a family celebration? (And are there any more of you, or just the two? )

Yeah, just goes to show that I'm not an original thinker ... and slow with it, because it took me a couple of hours even to realise that one ....

Well done, Hanza I'm glad everyone's happy

(So, sun-star, your uni place assured now then? What will you be doing?)

There's just the two of us. And thanks

Yes, I got my place. It was a big relief, as I'm sure you can imagine! I'm going to Oxford to do English.

EDIT: "read" English, isn't that what they say? They've got their whole own language up there...

That's helpful Most people won't have done it before though will they? They didn't at my school... I know lots of people who took psychology and found it v. interesting.

You can make Janny do your maths homework too. He has his uses sometimes

Heh - well done, sun-star! You won't be too far from me ('cept I'm thinking of moving fairly soon .... )

I did some psychology, Hanza, as part of my degrees, and found it really interesting. Though I stuck with the theoretical/abstract stuff - experiments would have sent me mad From one or two people who did psychology at 'A' I've heard back that it wasn't at all like they thought ... but then they were going in more on the basis that it'd be a bit like those 'what kind of a person are you?' multiple choice quizzes in magazines. Lucky you to have a mum with a degree in it though, who'll be able to help (Does that mean you'll have to make sure to get an A-grade in it? )

My cousin's going in a different direction - she intends to do psychology too, but is doing sociology, history, and philosophy along with it.

lol i hope she dont expect an A although knowing my luck she probably expects an A*! im doing psychology more for the interest than to help me in the future.

intersting choice for ur friend. we dont have the option of socio or philosophy. i wud have quite liked to do philosophy. but ig ues we cant have everything.

Thanks. It's not quite the top five people, it's being amongnthe people with the top five marks. But the letter is nicely phrased to make you believe the former. Until someone's mother points out it means the latter.

Anyway, it'll be you in 16 years time... Congrats with that!
