RosieCotton!!
I do not think you are thinking this through!! You would want to be Frodo so you could be with Sam, even if you get stabbed, tortured etc. Did you not think that you could be Rosie?? Live in the Shire...worry a bit about Sam...and then marry him when he gets back and live happily ever after?? Why would you want to go on the quest???? If I were dropped into Middle Earth I would probably want to be and Elf living in Rivendell...reading great books, listening to stories, eating good food etc. I certainly have no desire to throw myself into battle!!! If I was stuck on an Island, I think it would definitely be with Faramir!!! He is good looking, kind, gentle, considerate, and is probably good at hunting, fishing etc. If I did not live in Rivendell, then I would have liked to be a well to do and educated lady in Minas Tirith. Having the city I was living in surrounded by Orcs and having loved ones slayed would be horrendous enough for me!! I do not think most of us can envisage the true horror of war!! As for meeting an Orc, I think I would faint!!!!!! And do not forget.....time and again Tolkien writes about how terrified and scared the hobbits are....I think we would also rather be at home with a nice cup of tea and some crumpets than off on some battlefield hoping to kill a few Orcs before we ourselves were killed!!!!!!! ![]()

Come to think of it, if I were to drop in middle earth, the safest person to be would be Sauron himself!
You're the min reason everyone's all dressed up for a fight. You're very powerful 'cept for one trinket of stupidity but hey, submit yourself to the powers that be and it'll end. ![]()

Being Sauron...good plan. But you will be defeated at the end so will still be killed.

LOL....yes, fainting would not be a good idea....actually I really do not know how I would react in such a situation!! Hopefully I would surprise myself
![]() As for not fitting in if you do not like fighting!! NO HOBBITS LIKE IT! I would just have to live with the hobbits...or somewhere else that was peaceful ![]()

In terms of being safe, wouldn't if be best to stick around the Grey Havens? That way you're pretty far from all the battle and so on. Even better than being Sauron, because that would only be safe until the end, when the Ring is destroyed. Even staying in hobbiton during the War of the Ring wouldn't be too great, becasue of Sharky.

You are right....I forgot about Sharky!!
Grey Havens it is ![]() Wherever I was I would want to be rather well to do...I do not mind baking bread by hand, but filling and emptying a bath or doing all the laundry in a tub!! Been there (in childhood), and it is backbreaking work. And while Middle Earth does have its nice features....there is no TV, no computers, mobile phones etc etc. Would most of you REALLY want to spend the rest of your lives there??

How can Sauron be defeated if he surrenders?

Faramir. Definately Faramir. I'd stop him going with Eowyn (the evil w*ore) and plus i'd get to see Merry and Pippin a bit and help merry through his illness too. Anyway, Faramir always seemed brave in the books and you need a man with a big sword when orcs are attacking

I think I might actually want to stay in Lorien were I belong. I'd get to do some fighting, (orcs wandering through, etc.) But mostly I'd be staying in a peaceful place.

![]() OK I would go there with Elfmaster XK. We would go and kill things. Orcs mostly. It could be fun. I would go to to Mirkwood and Erebor so I could fight and see the lonely mountain. I want an axe. I'm not crazy really.

I'll go with Sauron too. Though I suppose it would suck to lose at the end.
Otherwise I'd choose to go with the orc-hunters. Aragorn is a fun guy, and it's always good to have people like Legolas and Gimli around to chop up orcs.

I would go with Aragorn, Gimli and Leoglas because I personally would have no desire to go to Mordor, and I would have to be an idiot to pass up a chance to be with *sigh* Leoglas. But in all seriousness, I would also like to be in battle more than just walking to the mountain, that would just get boring after a while.

I'd stay w/ Treebeard. I don't like orcs, and he seemed to encounter the fewest of them. I'd just lay low until they had conquered Isengard.

I don't know.....
I'm afraid to go with the main character. I want to be in lorien or in Rohan. If I have to be with one of the company so with Aragorn Gimly and Legolas.
