Nope. I have to say, this riddle isn't very subtle, but at least I didn't put stuff in so it would rhyme.

I made the 100th post on this thread!

Okay, I stink at thinking of riddles, but can I ask a trivia question?

Who broke their arm in The Lord of the Rings?

Hope that's not too easy.

Dang. Now I have to think of another question. Okay, what did Glorfindel call the Brandywine River? Hope this one's not as easy.

No idea. Too lazy to go look it up. I'll resurrect my riddle, people have forgotten about it.

An eagle soaring through the skies
Carrying destiny upon its wings
Swiftly in silver it flies
As the crown it flings

Umm... Gwaihir? Thorondor? Is this riddle metaphorical or literal?

P.S. The answer to my question is pretty easy to look up.

Not to do with Middle Earth. I also changed it a little:

With no intent, 'tis caused by haste
Soon with blood 'twill be encased
The culprit, it seems, is no more than a line
But, when turned, it's of the rectangular kind
Related to trees in origin but not trait
For reconciliation, you will have to wait

I'm going to cry myself to sleep if I'm ignored further.

This is a total wild guess, Nibs (don't cry, I'm not ignoring you!)
A paper cut.

okay, okay...laugh at me...it was simply the first thing that jumped into my head.
btw, BeardofPants, it was the line about "securing you in my place" that finally clicked it.
Um...that eagle one, Elf Girl...has it anything to do with Manwe and the trees in Valinor or am I reading too much into it? Is the eagle literal or metaphorical, like Galadriel as a gem?

The funny thing is, just as I was putting away my science homework today and was just about to come upstairs to check and see if I got it right...guess what I got? Yeah. A papercut. Life's funny...in a weird, twisted sorta way.
"clever rascal..." Heehee...that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...

The eagle is literal, but is not one of "the eagles". Everyone's answeres so far have been wrong.

A Gollum-like riddle? Hmm... Let's see what I can do. (Beard, stop waving your feet! I can smell them beyond the Second Sundering Seas! )

Giver of life, glimmer on stream,
Gone with the night, caught on a string.
Ebereth's virtue, intangible thing.
As it returns, hear high voices sing.

All right. Simple, I'm sure. But have a go at it.
