Jazz choir is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! They decided to restructure it so that it's more of a workshop now!!! We're doing some choral stuff, but it looks like we'll be focusing a lot on singing solo jazz... We're going to be getting up and singing for each other.

It sounds good to me .

I picked "Beginning to See the Light," from the selections he had (our theme is "sun moon and stars"... so any song that mentions the sun, the moon, or the stars are fair game) to work on, and I might bring in "Swinging from a Star" if I can find a version in my key at the library... he told us to bring something in.

I thought these days would never come. The end in my quest through trigonometry is finally coming to it's close (could it come any sooner?). Within the next to weeks, trig will only be a horrible memory . I hope pre-calc isn't as .....um...... I can't think of an appropriate word .

AP Stat next year, but let's not get to thinking about that

LOL!
I nearly spit out my breakfast over the screen at reading a few reactions to a book I attempted to read. The book however, was so horrible I stopped reading, but the reactions to it were hilarious.
Thank you Hector. You just made my day

Jazz choir was friggin' awesome, as always . And by always I mean the two class periods we've had.

Friggin'. awesome.

I also made some breakthroughs in my voice lesson today... I've been wondering for a while how to sing a little more quietly on my higher notes, and today my voice teacher just said, "You know, you can sing a little more quietly on the high notes if you want to--you've got the strength for it now." And suddenly, like magic, I was able to do it. O.o weird.

I ALSO got fully, exactly into head voice a couple of times, and it was WEIRD!!! O_o When I do it completely correctly, I can feel my teeth vibrate. o_O My head buzzes a little when I get into an okay head voice, like I've been doing since last semester, but today when I did it exactly correctly... DANG. My forehead was buzzing pretty powerfully, and my TEETH vibrated. You have no idea how weird it feels till it happens. WEIRD, I tell you.

Woohoo! Because of my absence from school I was supposed to do three extra assignments, but because I was always present and active and all, two teachers decided I wouldn't have to do them
And the other teacher said she only gave me the assignment because it was the rule, but we did tune the severity down several notches

Sometimes being perceived as a goody-too-shoes pays off.

I got my Narnia books in! And my grandmother came by as well, so I gave her a book to write a message in. (The books are her present to me for graduating University. The reason it took me so long to buy the books, is that I was hoping to find a previous edition which they used to have in the library and of which I have very fond memories. I couldn't find that edition anywhere, so I finally settled for the previous to last edition)
Now I am going to get my mum and sis to read them

Narnia... very good books! I get so absorbed in them! Time goes by quicker than normal, hence, time goes fast when you're having fun!

Beardofpants... what a humorous location you have, and an interesting name. And about 1000 times the number of posts I have! You have inspired me to start thinking up a funny location of my own now!

Isn't it "Goody two shoes?"

Well, that's what I thought, but Hector said it wasn't so if my post is incorrect it's all his fault.

Oh, how lovely - I just love flowers! I hope you feel better soon! We have some lovely scented yellow roses in our back yard now - just huge old-fashioned blooms, and very fragrant *sends them thru the computer to Mari*

I just went to a great recital by one of the girls in my voice studio (meaning we share the same teacher). She did a wonderful job on some very difficult music.

It definitely cheered me up quite a bit .
