I dunno, I think Subarus are more like tanks than Volvos. Consumer report rates them as much worse than average frequency of repairs.... I'll take my cheiftan tanks, thank you much!

unfortunately, this particular tank was a resounding failure due to insessant mechanical failures. Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 03-07-2006 at 03:24 AM. |

By tanks, I was meaning that since Volvo is made with a single-body steel chassis, it doesn't crush or crumple so easily in the event of a collision. Sort of like a tank. Mercedes Benz does the same. I'd much, much prefer to be in a Volvo or MBZ in the event of an accident, than in a Subaru, that's for SURE.

I was just in a crash with a Subaru. Did me just fine, and it was a front end too. But that has nothing to do with rifles, handguns or otherwise!

We're relating the cars with tanks, and tanks have guns on them, and it is DEFinitely on topic. But whatever.

Bond. James Bond. I've always wanted one of these but can't find one where I live. I mean, how cool would it be to have James Bond's gun.

The pix is small but I believe that's a Walther PPK, which he doesn't use anymore; actually for quite some time. I believe "Q" switched him sometime back. Anyway the latest movies have him using the Walther P99
What also changes are his women.

Yeah, his women are always fresh. I know he no longer uses the Walther PPK, though i recall Pierce useing one in Goldeneye, but thats the one I would want. The new just looks to, IDK, plastic. Doesn't look like it could even stop Odd Job.

SR 25!! Oh those are fun! And as nice as they are, if given the choice, I'd take the 38" ones.

Does anyone have the inside scoop on what gun the new James Bond (Daniel Craig) will be toting in the upcoming Bond movie, Casino Royale?
Spock, you like Halle Berry, eh? Speaking of luscious Bond girls, they're (the film's producers/casting agents) still on the prowl for the new Bond girl to be in Casino Royale. Wonder who they'll get. I'd like to see Keira Knightley be a Bond girl - or Jessica Alba... yes yes, off topic I know -

I Love Halle Berry...God she is a good looking woman. Anyways, that is the last of the offtopic for this post. Who here favors sniping? As fun as full auto can be, blasting away and not hitting a sausage, I just love the sharp shooting action. What's your favorite rifles?

Yeah - I have the feeling that Shah's one of those forces that one wouldn't want to reckon with, if you know what I mean! Which is why I dig her so much... HEY - do any of you know what guns there are that can be fired accurately, or fired at all, after or during being submerged in water? For instance, does it really ruin a gun's ability completely if it gets wet, like in the movies where there are handguns in the rain, or people shooting guns while they're bobbing around in lakes? I know this may sound like a naive question, but I've always wondered about this. My dad says most guns get screwy after having been submerged, and can't be accurately fired again until they've been cleaned & dried, but surely there are weapons that are all-weather, right? I mean, what do the soldiers do when they're stuck in the rain, having to have their guns still operating properly? Like in the Vietnam jungles, and stuff?

I can't find out which gun he's using in the new film, just the new car (one of them anyway) he's driving. Astin Martin DB5

I did a search and found that most hand guns will fire underwater at least once. I did find a russian rifle specificly designed to be used underwater.
Here's the link: http://world.guns.ru/assault/as69-e.htm I also found out that Daniel Craig will be using the Walther PPK in the new movie. That and he hates guns. Here's the link: http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/425828/622527
