Wimbledon. Also a light, romantic movie in a familiar genre, but quite enjoyable. I like Paul Bettany, and the setting always looks so nice in these kind of films, and watching tennis is fun, so it was a good way to spend 90 minutes.

I'm just going to post this here (since this is about movies):

What movie would you suggest that is:
1. Liked by girls & guys alike (this is teenagers I'm talking about)
2. No higher than PG-13
3. Slightly funny (note: this is a touchy area--it can't be reaaaally absurdly funny, or dumb guywhacksguyonthehead funny; ex. Monty Python & Holy Grail, Kung Pow, Shrek 1 & 2, etc.)
4. Good plot

Any ideas?
Someone suggested Oceans 11, I thought maybe O Brother Where Art Thou.

hmm this past weekend -

Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow - not great, but certainly good. It was different.

Shaun of The Dead - Again, different. Funny. I liked it very much.

and I rented and watched Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi Special Edition 2004 - very good, didn't like a bunch of changes, others i liked - changes only account for what, like 2 minutes of this film? Not that big a deal and still a great film.

Ya, I just watched A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back... It's frickin' weird listening to Boba Fett speak with a maori accent, I can tell you. About to start watching Return of the Jedi...

I just saw Kill Bill Vol. 1 on HBO, I saw the second Vol. first and really didn't like it. The first was mroe my style, more swords and more Japanese style. Of course Lucy Lu and that chick Go-go didn't hurt.

I hafta ask:

What is it with that Kill Bill thing? It looks like the dumbest low-budget film in history! (obviously, 'don't judge a movie by its poster', but it just looks so lame...

Just watched 'School Ties', with Brendan Fraiser. Good.

Well, being biased, I would have to go for my all-time favorite.... drumroll.....
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

But... since some people think that it's a dumb movie, I'll throw Runaway Jury out there (I assume that by 'slightly funny' you mean wit/humor, I suppose).

I just bought Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and watched it again.

Such a good movie. I swear, Kauffman was in my head sometimes.

And Kill Bill is awesome. It's better if you get the homages Tarantino was making, though, and some of those are to old B-movies.
