Looking greedily for the plate of brownies, the little hobbit glanced around the room at the smug faces turned to greet him. How long had they hidden these treasures from him, he wondered?

No matter, the plate was heaped high with warm delicious pastries and confections and he had no intention of making an issue out of the matter. He smiled a chocolate smile and grabbed still another brownie even as he popped the last morsel of his second brownie into his little mouth.
