Yeah, like Keira's constant fish-breathing... far more prominent in the first film.

I've been chasing grace; Grace ain't so easily found

I've got to get out of here, just give me One Good Year!

It was over a month ago but, Clerks! That's a great movie. I am reminded of it so much by real life- I know someone who does work as a Clerk at a gas station, or when I go to Family Video, or whatever. I was kinda worried today would turn into a Clerks day. It was the whole "Let's go to lunch [at 12]" and the relief didn't show up until 2.

I think I've already commented on that here; if not:

That must seriously be the most retarded combined title and premise for a movie I have ever heard of.

I've seen some pretty retarded movies, but not that one, so I can't comment on the relative retardedity.

The title basically sold the movie to an audience... Neat trick, but unsucessful.

Imagine if "Schindler's List" was called "One day, Schindler decided to write on a piece of paper, all the jews and poles he was going to save."

Apparently, Samuel L. Jackson only signed on because of the title, and threatened to leave when they wanted to change it.

Yeah, because he knew the title was the only thing that was going to attract box office green stuff.

Did you know there's a new dramatization of the Bible, and he voices God? Strange pick IMO, surely James Earl Jones isn't out of the job yet...

Well on a four day free weekend with the STARZ package, only one movie seemed worth my effort to watch; "Sahara". Boy was I wrong. What a lousy, contrived, unbelievable movie. All it did was reinforce the idea that Africa is a dirty dusty place.

...goggling this I see that location shots were done in Morocco, which certainly has beautiful deserts and a couple of really nice cities (which I've visited) and found:
On location in Morocco, the company shot in several locations, including a lake near Marrakech, but most of the desert locations were filmed near Erfoud, a tiny town on the edge of the Sahara, near the Algerian border.

Never the less-the impression of Africa stands.

Spock, I could have told u that - it was the lousiest piece of faeces Ive ever seen. What annoyed me the most was the incessant sniggering of MM. And the fact that it had no relation to the book at all.

If they're gonna cut'n'slash Cussler's books in this manner they might as well not bother making any movies of them .

Here is a link to a CC forum which I visit and the first conflagratory post aimed at Sahara...

I saw The Guardian today. Very good movie. I recommend it and there's not many movies I recommend.
