I'm not addicted to coffee, but I do appreciate a really good cup on occasion. Starbucks is wonderful, but a bit expensive. Sometimes they brew the shots of coffee before they steam the milk. *tsk* that's not the proper way to make a latte. if you let the shots set for too long w/out the milk, they get bitter.

I love putting eggnog in my coffee. yummmmmm

This is such a thick question but what is eggnog? I always hear people talking about it at Xmas time but I've never tried it or actually none what it is. Is it an American thing because I've never seen it in Sainsbury when I go shopping- which isn't often my Dad usually goes!!! Educate me! Mx

Eggnog- REALLY GOOD SWEET STUFF!!!

That help?

Sometimes it has vodka in it, but they don't sell it that way in stores.

Recipes, non- and alcholic kind.

Christmas Eggnog (contains alcohol)

12 Eggs, separated
1 c Granulated sugar
1 c Bourbon whiskey
1 c Cognac
1/2 ts Salt
3 pt Heavy cream
Grated Nutmeg

In an electric mixer, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until thick and lemon colored. Slowly add the bourbon and cognac, while beating at a slow speed. Chill several hours.

Add the salt to the egg whites and beat until almost stiff, or until the beaten whites form a peak that bends slightly.

Whip the cream until stiff. Fold the whipped cream into the yolk mixture, then fold in the beaten egg whites. Chill one hour.

When ready to serve, sprinkle the top with freshly grated nutmeg. Serve in punch cups with a spoon.

If desired, add one or two cups of milk to the yolk mixture for a thinner eggnog.

If you want non alcholic repeat everything but the bourbon and cognac. (I think)

I actually don't really like coffee, I've had it once, but it had a lot of chocolate syrup in it. I am only in 6th grade too, so I will probably like coffee later.

Ahh yes, the sweet seduction of that fussy temptress the black bean! Coffee is so many things so hard to quantify but through proper lyrical prose (of which I'm not capable of writing ).

I'm a coffee snob though - organic, shade grown when possible, and almost exclusively the darkest roasts out there. I have a French Press on my desk at work and use it daily for my morning 'microbrew'.

I love a well-done straight espresso or real machiatto (not what starbucks calls a machiatto) Very few place in the states can do good espresso though. Starbucks is now the McDonald's of coffee, 'baristas' who only handle pastries and steam milk, taking the art and craft out of proper expresso preparation. Staryuck's is the devil!

For the best coffee in the world with a passion for the culinary art that is espresso www.espressovivace.com

Ok, whatever my views have been on this topic in the past, erase them from your memory. For now I have seen the light.....I love coffee. With milk/cream and sugar. At home. In restaraunts. I could walk into a pub, and ask for coffee.....Ah, the simple delights of caffiene. I tell you, age does not matter. Heck, I'm only in 7th grade!!

Edit: If I can't get coffee, tea works almost as well!!!

I LOVE coffee. My grandma got me hooked. When I was little I'd drink it laced with sugar and lots of milk. Now I use a little less sugar and prefer half and half. I never got into the flavored coffee and stuff though.
P.S. Im only in the 8th grade. LOL
