Interesting, but not productive at all! *is shocked because of her own inability to get motivated for another round of translating*
Thanks for the grapes. It being dinner is not that crazy, seen as that you are the one who is behind!

LOL, Mari. You ask ME how something is spelled? Your trust is misplaced. I depend on looking every word up, and I don't always do that. And even when I CAN spell a word (I distinctly remember the day I realized that necessary did not require 4 "s"es ) my typing is so awful it might not get there.
TRUST ME NOT, FOR SPELLING! There are different secondary programs. There are specifically "vocational" schools, where you study plumbing, and there are different academic "tracks" for "gifted students" or "average students". In the nearest high school, here, you can enroll in a program for an International Baccalaureat, or take typing. In my day, "college bound" students didn't take 'shop' (to learn something about woodworking, or the inside of their cars) or 'domestic science' (to be able to sew, or cook, or manage a budget)or typing. More's the pity. But if you have "a high school diploma', or even a GED (which is a diploma awarded on the basis of a test, for people who didn't finish high school classwork) you're good to apply to any university you fancy. Might not get in, but you aren't prevented. And, of course, homeschool students go to all kinds of colleges and universities. With or without diplomas.

My spellingcheck didn't say secondary was wrong, whereas it did say that secundairy was wrong, so... But it uses the American spelling system, while I usually use the British one.
Not that it gave me any useful suggestions on how to spell secundairy instead Anyway, in this case I will trust your spelling over my spellcheck... Homeschooling is pretty much illegal here, you need diploma's to get somewhere. Any kind of diploma in some cases Dutch system certainly isn't perfect, that much is for sure.

How are you today, Sas? By the way, I don't think the dance ruined it. It was after all an evil happy dance.

I'm feeling a bit guilty for not doing what I was supposed to do today, but otherwise I'm just dandy

Not when you have a deadline >_< Fortunately I know myself, so I allowed for a bit of procrastination in my schedule

Haha, perhaps. I gave up on doing something for today though, so I'd better make the most of it. Anyone want to talk, party, whatever?

1. I always played games at my cousins' houses. There would be lots of times when no one else was playing and I'd get it all to myself. There was much N64 playing and also much Mortal Kombat and Pilot Wings at a different house.
2. Sims 2, while incredibly addicting, doesn't count as a real game to me. *shrug* 3. WoW is also addicting, but it can be played in moderation, I know this. I know a lot of people who play a lot and still do fine in school. Also, the stereotypes about socially-impaired people and MMOs is largely myth, I think. A lot of people who play WoW are perfectly normal married couples and regular, successful people with lots of friends. 4. If you so desired, Auntie, there are a lot of regular games for PC, for example there are versions of the Final Fantasys for PC, there's lots of first-person shooters, and real-time strategy games as well. I've always been more of a console gamer myself though. |

Yeah, you can do that too. I had Geometry Wars on my laptop for a while. I prefer using the actual consoles though. I loved my PS2.

I have some computer games around here. *looks around vaguely* People used to give me a lot of software. Someone went to the trouble of setting up Sim farm, once, I remember. Not on this computer, a previous one. They got it all set up, ran the tutorial, got involved, and soon there were cows everywhere, if I recall correctly.
I don't even run my numerous copies of "learn Klingon" and 'make your own crossstitch patterns' type programs, though. Since I busted the display we're back to pretty basic usage here. And how would I maintain my post count, if I was always racing go-carts, shooting drug dealers, or finding the Shining Sword of Agamemnon? I played the whole Goosebumps game once, on a visit. That was kind of fun. So, poll. Do people prefer character-driven games, like Final Fantasy, or more shooters and strategy?
