Woo go you. Did you post your art before? I swear I've seen it. I even recognize your little pic of you. I was like 'Woo it was the guy who looks like russel crowe (in my deformed opinion sort of).

I would give a link to my little 'album' on my hosting place but right now it doesn't want half the pics to work so I dunno what the deal with that is... just signed up today.

Here's a lovely art site I've been working on... http://www.geocities.com/sminty_eclipse/Art

Right now only the 'Pencil (upper left hand) option is working but yeah

I gave the same link in the entmoot picture thread so I think you saw it there since I have the picture of myself and my artwork in the same folder.

Thanks. I think that's the only REAL 'pen and ink' I have on there, the rest are pen, heh. It was for my drawing class, we were to use pen and ink (brush) to do an illustration for one of three fairytails, which involved elves, by... the Grimm brothers I think? Something like that. I'll have to find the one I did...
EDIT: here it is.
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~spok/grimmtmp/029.txt

it's the first one... the picture is supposed to be of the mother in the bed....

Thanks. Ummm the drawing itself was done probably like a year or two ago, which is old for me... I just messed with it on my computer and did the red and stuff like a few days ago though.

At our school we recently had the Spring Arts Festival, which displays students art works, so I got a few new pics up and I replaced some of the photos that were of low quality with better ones.

There are three pictures (full panel, left panel and right panel)showing all my work that was on display.

I checked out your paintings. I loved them. My parents actually had bought very similar artwork that you have o your page. It was watercolor and was done by laying leaves on the paper. It was with very soft colors. We had them hanging in our dining room and living room.

Here is the last painting I have done - it was done years ago and I haven't painted since. Although I have thought about doing it again...

The reason for the differences in color is because I had to scane it in 4 sections. It's not overly large - but it is much larger than 8 1/2 x 11.

Thanks. Actually it's not. The Jersey Shore is flat and is made up of barrier islands. I actually got that picture out of a magazine - it was a car ad and I removed the car. That picture is from the west coast where the coast is more rocky and mountainous - especially in the northwest.

I do have some ideas that I would like to paint from NJ though - if I start painting again.

Thank you JD! I'm going to work on my site (maybe *purchase* one) and keep trying to move my art up a few more notches this fall, when my boy goes back to school. "The Fallen" is done in acrylic (a type of watercolor IMO) on yupo "paper" (It's actually some sort of plastic) and the laying of the sycamore leaves and a few others were involved. There is over painting done in gold leaf that doesn't really show in the photo that rather sets it off. Your picture looks rather Tolkienish for some reason. I like it.

Lizra is right JD, that pic reminds me of JRRTs illustrations. I like it.
Would love to see you paint from NJ too.

Very pretty painting, JD, landscapes is one of the things that just don't seem to work for me.

Ooh, Lizra, I didn't know you painted! Very stylish and I especially like the colours from 'Encouragement'.
