Blah... Would've posted earlier, but after 24 hours with nothing resembling real sleep (as opposed to mere dozing) my bed was looking exceedingly friendly. And now I've slept four hours and my brain is slightly more inclined to fuction.
Slighty. Not by much though. Caffiene please?

Well, it's almost time! Yep! This Saturday I finally take on the Docentship (is that a word?) at TLD. Cool! And once again, they're doing it specially for me! Well, me and someone else, but hey, that's real unlikely to happen, you know?

Here you go, Lady M.
I'm tired too, right now. Been working outdoors since dawn broke. It rained all morning. Tired now. Prefer a glass of Chianti & some toast and cheese, myself, but here's some coffee 4 U. |

I'm away for a week or so and already another cafe pops up. Spammers.
So, how much would it cost a girl to have her hair styled nicely for some formal event? Like a prom or wedding? I really need to know. Usually, when I find someone asking a messageboard for some last-minute help on a school project, I frown upon it, but at least I'm no n00b who'll never be heard from again, like the normal question posters are. And I really need to know. I have a marriage project due tomorrow that I have not started yet and I need to get an estimate on prices for each thing that goes into a wedding (there's a chart three full pages long). Hair is one of the few I can't find online. I can't believe I got homework over the holiday break.

Depends on who she has do it, where she has it done how complex the style she chooses is and if it's just getting the hair styled or if she's getting makeup, nails and feet done as well. Larger salon/spa places usually have packages for that sort of thing and it can be quite expensive.
If she decided to do the makeup etc. herself and have a friend do her hair it would cost next to nothing. So... in estimate, anywhere from $0 to $400, possibly even more.

Just came back from the first session of my January Term class. My Professor does a Renfield nearly as good as KlatuKatt's. This is going to be such a fun month.

It's an icon-type thing from the Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here album cover. The picture I used was huge, but it sized down impressively well, I think. Here is the close-up. And thanks Maggie! As it turned out, the teacher thought she told us it would be due tomorrow, so she didn't accept anyone's today. Yes, it was a very very good day. I gave up in the wee hours of this morning about half-way finished with the project. The chart of prices (for everything, not just the first few expenses that come to mind) I finished save about three obscurities that I'll get from some classmate tomorrow. I've selected all my ushers, maids, and the like, and now I need all the readings and songs plus a brief reactionary essay thing. IOW, the rest is BS. I do love high school. What's a Renfield? I figure it's a name, and it makes me think of the "inkblot" tests for psychosocial abnormalities, but I'm sure that's not what you're talking about. EDIT: The name of the inkblots is Rorschach, not Renfield, anyway. Bah...

The class is Universal Horror Films of the 30s and 40s. We're watching the following films:
Dracula Frankenstein, Murders in the Rue Morgue, The Old Dark House, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, The Black Cat, Bride of Frankenstein, WereWolf of London, Dracula’s Daughter, Son of Frankenstein, The Mummy’s Hand, The Wolf Man, The Ghost of Frankenstein, The Mummy’s Tomb, Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, Son of Dracula, House of Frankenstein, House of Dracula, and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. We watched and discussed Dracula today, it's Frankie tomorrow. And that's really all I'm doing for school in the month of January. Fun, no? He was doing a Renfield as in he was quoting the character Renfield from Dracula.

I had Tree beer to toast in the new year. Gott nytt år till alla!
Tree beer is very hoppy and bitter. I thought it was very nice.
