Well, hullo everyone. As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably.

Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia.

Cheers!

ooc: I agree with Maggie--there needs to be some kind of logic--it's not fun for everyone if anyone can be anywhere and do whatever they want, if they're involved in the storyline, see? It makes it flow and lets us be silly more.
Yeah, sorry about that. The timeline is a little 'muzzy', I agree. And I must confess I'm a little 'muzzy' about the timeline myself. So I thought that since everyone was having fun at Thingol's place and I felt kind of left out of it, I'd just go with the flow and go where all the rest of you seemed to be. Especially since I had no idea what I could write about doing in Noldorin camp all by my lonely self. (I just remembered that all those yummy elves were there as well. Silly me for not thinking about that. Ah well, it would have had to stay PG-13 afterall )

And I thought that getting Morauthien to give Claedhros her long hair back was a nice sub-plot. I suggested the speeding up time so Morauthien wouldn't have to stay a baby for long, I thought NQ would find it easier to play if she grew up fast. There's only so much a baby can do, even a baby inhabited by a TLA-spirit. I tried to handle it logically, I guess it didn't work that well. Sorry.

I like to think that I never posted ramblings in the TLA before, nor do I think I popped up magically all over the place but I'll look out for those in the future just in case.

I'll try to adhere more to the 'silly logic' in the future.

It wasn't so much you coming that bothered me, Earniel--we knew you and C. wanted to find the baby anyway. It was just sort of everyone falling through cielings and things...
Yeah. Anyway. No matter.

Maggie...what is this plot that we are whispering in F's ear? Because I honestly don't remember a thing.

We aren't whispering any plot in her ear, we're inspiring her to give the feast that we're supposed to be at. I figured it would be a good way for us to meet in the plot line and figure out what we're supposed to be doing. Those of you with copies of the Sil start reading the bit at the bottom half of page 129 and you'll see what I'm talking about. And remember, the feast HASN'T HAPPENED OR STARTED YET! All clear?

Okay.

page 129, page 129... mmmh... this can't be right. In my copy that's where Fingon leaves to rescue Maedhros. But we've done that already. I guess, I have a different paperback than you, then.

Oh wait, I found it I think. Feast of Reuniting? That's the right one, right? I'm all set, then.

Hey guys. Remember "High over the chocolate factories cold"? I finished writing it on the bus this morning. It took a full half an hour. The first 10 min don't count though cuz I spent those remembering the original words. Here it is.

High over the chocolate fact'ries cold
To buildings wide and lib'ries old
We must away e're break of day
To seek the chocolate candy gold

The man of old wrote a great book
While happy children on did look
In lib'ries deep, where dark things sleep
Behind the shelves in hidden nook

For gentleman and lady fair
The famous tales of old can share
With careful word, and song he heard
He wrote for them with extreme care

Night after night the man wrote on
And filled his tales with mirth and song
His mind was warm; his hands were cold
He paid no heed to growing old

High over the chocolate fact'ries cold
To buildings wide and lib'ries old
We must away e're break of day
To claim our book and chocolate gold

Brown chocolate made from milk
On our tongues it tastes like silk
Just like gold, many bold
For the hold many have kilt

On the hoard the book was held
Kept safe by dwarves who were then expelled
The dragon's song, both nice and long
They left the chocolate they had felled

They tried to fight against Smaugatt
But the Smaugettes had the dwarves rapt
They didn't know the Smaugette's show
And what attention it attracts

Smaugatt waltzed in
And stole their home
Cast out the dwarves
To where ere they roam
Now she lives free
In gluttony
Ruling o're people
In their homes

High over the chocolate empire
With lib'ries no longer filled with mirth
We must away e're break of day
To win our chocolate gold from her

No...there aren't any pizza places in ME. Sorry. Although we are being silly, we are also trying to keep it more or less Tolkien-logical which means no pizza. Lo siento, Arcala.

Nice words, Katt!

Here it is, my official excuse for not being here for the last few days (besides the arrival of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance... *_*). This is the full version, a slightly more condensed version will be in my siggie. ^^

The address is [Sorry, no advertising allowed outside the advertising thread and signatures-Eärniel] Trust me. We have a blast. Although you might want to put your sanity at the door: or in the Serious Stuff section.

Post on the Newbie board first, and tell 'em Thano sent you.

Cheers!

Yeah, TLA is the only reason I keep visiting entmoot, hence my tendency to conspicuous absences *loves PI*

Well, I suppose it's only natural mooters find new green pastures away from the moot. Glad you're at least staying to see the TLA finished.

I've noticed general interest in the Sillymarillion has lessened, though I hope only due to school and confusion. I'd really want to see this finished nicely like the other two.

I'd say we discuss our next line of plot here. It'll save a lot of pointless discussion on the game-thread. My proposal is:
1. Have fun at the feast of reuniting.
2. Haul in the weeklings... I mean... Men.
3. Battle of the Sudden Flame and death of Fingolfiana. (don't worry Christiana, you can claim another body afterwards or do a Gandgirl )
4. The tale of Beren and Morauthien (who'll by then hopefully has at least reached the legal age )
5. Turin's tale
6. The end of Doriath
7. Gondolin (from Eöl to the end)
8. Eärendil's tale
9. The big battle (in which we hopefully we'll have a final show down with melkor, Ulrica and Mr. Nelson.
10. We can do the Akallabêth as a dessert if there's anyone still interested in it after all of that.

We don't have to do all these things in details. We can skip points 1,2,3,and 6 or treat them very fast without losing too much coherency. I'd love to do 4, 8 and 9 at least.

What's the verdict of the TLA?

Forgot about the no advertising rule *whops head* I'll put it in my sig.

That sounds like a good plan, Miss Moddie. ^^ I plan to get drunk and stagger away, muttering about my mutilated hair and how it seems funny that purple ducks keep wandering around...
