Cripes...the effect of reading all this somehow makes my ranting seem a little trivial.

OOOOHHH!!! horses!! yay!!! I looove the horse Arwen was riding!!! So purty! and I thought I was the only one who noticed the lead changes the black riders did
Gah I hate the fact that I get sick on friday so i can't go to the barn, which is the only thing that gets me through the week, and I was going to ride Zoe this week and i love her (yes, there is a horse with my name at the barn, makes in confusing in lessons when someone else rides her...)

*SIGH* yes, Arwen's horse is GORGEOUS! (whoops, remembers this is a vent thread) and I am SO JEALOUS of all of you who are currently riding!!!!!!!!!!! (ok, vent done - back to Arwen's horse)
I think if I had a choice of color on a horse, I would choose a grey, like Arwen's horse. A really sharp looking bay with nice black points is close to the top, though, as is a pure black horse. Opinions, anyone else? What does Zoe look like? Don't you just love to kiss their sweet little noses? BTW, I'm glad someone else noticed the lead changes, too! Did you notice that Arwen was really riding the horse pretty slowly, but they just sped up the picture? Definitely not a full-on gallop, which is a 4-beat gait and is absolutely thrilling to ride, don't you think? BTW, Erawyn - your avatar is so pretty! I don't think I've ever seen a white or grey horse with a dark mane (like your avatar) - have you? I'm sure they are out there, I just haven't seen one. It must look really stunning.

About Arwen's horse, i read somewhere that Tyler didn't know how to ride (probably why she was riding SLOW), at first they put her on this stallion which she could not control (obviously!!) so they put her on this mare, that when she felt her falling off she would shift her wait to keep her in the saddle.. i wish the horses i rode were that nice!!
There is a horse at my barn with a darker grey mane and tail, at TB/andalusian..gorgeous i think. And i've seen some pics of horses like that, mostly andalusians and lusitanos. I LOVE SPANISH BREEDS!! Zoe is a skewbald pony!! sooo cute!! Heres a pic of her! http://groups.msn.com/churchillchime...oto&PhotoID=34 Maybe someone should start a horse thread?

Cute picture - thanks!
Yes, I think we should start a horse thread. Do one of you guys want to go ahead? If no one has done it by early next week, I'll start it up. This weekend is just too busy for anything other than quick posts for me.

Here's my vent: that people talk exuberantly (and not angrily, I might add) about horses in the Venting Thread! Sorry Rian and Erawyn, but I'm feeling a little left out here. Please do go start a thread about it! More vents: I hate not being good enough on pointe to be a Bon-bon. I hate having evil amounts of homework. I hate the mess that calls itself my house.

Sorry, it's so easy to get carried away when talking horse talk! Erawyn started one, and we are now happily talking lead changes and snaffle bits over there.
I Hate Paperwork!!! and Medical Insurance that gives you written approval to go to a specialist, then sticks you with a $450 bill 8 months later, of course after you have thrown out the approval letter!!! Now I have to make a million phone calls to track down their mistake, and in the meantime, I'll start getting nasty letters from the specialist. ARGH!!!! And I just realized that I haven't paid the mortgage this month!!!! I dread going to the mailbox.

Don't shoot at me! A Brit word for garbage would simply be cra p. Although in my opinion Tripe is a good word! Thanks for the support, i am a terrible procrastinator, i haven't been on the moot for a few days (maybe three) as i left two essays and a project to one weekend, then had a major stree out nervous breakdown nearly when i couldn't finish my stupid project on time, because i missed the first week given but still wasn't allowed extra time. I have to hand it in tomorrow since she 'let me off' for today, but still isn't done! Yeah, archery could count i guess...thanks Quote:

Greetings
Great thread; not read it all (54 pages!!) but sympathies to everyone. BoP I trust you have survived electrocution as you would be greatly missed in the Moot.
How to procrastinate and survive I too, have been a lifelong procrastinator. I always leave things till the last minute, then wait a bit longer, then have a cup of tea, then realise there's something on the telly, then decide I might as well do it in the morning over breakfast... If it's any consolation, it is quite possible to live like this thoughout school, university and work and still have people who are prepared to talk to you or even pay you money for (sporadically) doing stuff. The thing is, you will never become president/prime minister/etc, so ditch those lofty ambitions right now if you are not prepared to change your ways. You might, however, have a healthy perspective on life and spend the most time on what's important (friends, family, having a beezer time) and the least time on what's not important (slogging your guts out for some pointless and arbitrary deadline, lining someone else's pockets, etc). It is a slightly stressful way to be, however, so you must be prepared for that. I have found that the trick is knowing when it REALLY IS the last minute, and you'd just be cutting off your nose to spite your face by waiting any longer. Also, know yourself, and make the most of those occasional moods when you actually want to do some work to build up a "backlog" of stuff to trolley out when some stuff is called for. When the brown stuff really hits the fan, you must ruthlessly prioritise: focus on one thing at a time, starting with the most important. What's nipping my head at the moment Here's my own personal vent: BANKS! Dontcha hate 'em? Dontcha think bankers (no coincidence there, methinks) should be boiled down for glue and the entire system replaced with a nimble-fingered team of abacus operators? Or even just a computer that works. I say this because I run a fledgling web company which wants to sell services over the net via credit card. Our bank says, "of course you can do that, but because you're a high risk business, we'll hold onto any payments for 30 days before putting them into your account". So, basically, because we might suffer from cashflow problems, they're going to give us more cashflow problems, not to mention the interest they'll get. Grrrrr |

I know, but a lot of people will use cra p to mean something that is rubbish, is cra p. And after all, s*** is just a rather more vulgar way of saying something is rubbish Isn't it.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY 1000 posts!!!! GO ME!!!!!!! Heh, i would turn out to be discussing language on my 1000th post! Incidentally, since this is a venting thread, i hate 5 page papers that i left to the last minute! Damnit! Dunadan. thatnks for the help with the procrastination, i agree with everything you say. You can get through it, just a bit more stressfully than if you get on with it right away!!!
