Ugh, I just don't understand why people who know me the best can't understand me half as good as people I've met for the first time! My dad thinks I was trying to get out of going to bed by saying "I'm not going to sleep good tonight because I got up so late...", which of course I wasn't. I'm so sick of people telling me what I think, or what to think. A while back, before I lived with my dad, whenever he called, I had to be on speaker phone with supervision by my mom and Ed, and they would tell me what to say. It also bugs me when people think they know me, and don't. My grandma, the former psychologist, doesn't know what I think from a hole in the ground. And when I step away from people who have known me for years, I come onto Entmoot, and everyone knows me well enough to get along.
It's so funny! Interesting comic. I'm curious, Lotesse, how do you know what to look for?

I don't know. Weird, isn't it. Maybe I'm a little psychic, or have ESPN - no wait, ESP - or something.
trolls' bane, I know exactly how you feel, boy howdy did I go through that at your age. It gets better as you get older, plus it helps when you're financially independent and don't HAVE to put up with people assuming they "know" you, or grievously and repeatedly and seemingly purposely misunderstanding you. Believe me, this really, really gets better after you get a little older, like 3 or 4 years older. Or maybe not, I dunno; it did for me anyway. Hang in there; I know how freakin' frustrating it can be, oh BOY do I know.

That is, however, what causes lot's of problems with misunderstanding, and people just don't get why I would want to hang out with people on Entmoot. They just give that super serious or scratching-head look and say in that annoying voice: "Don't trust anyone online." And I say (well actually think, because I don't mouth off though they like to think I do): "I don't just trust anyone." It's true. People get uptight and worried if I say what city I live in...oh, wow, how interesting, like someone that shouldn't be trusted is going to look all over La Quinta to find me. Even giving the street isn't bad, unless it's a small street or something. But still, people think they know all and that I am wrong, and then there's the kids at school who do other similar yet opposite things. I remember going over this trust thing here before, so I'm not going back into it. It's fun laughing at, though! "I know exactly what you're thinking." "You know what I'm thinking? What number am I thinking of? "

I'm in an unfortunate position. It's the loneliness, you see. I can't help feeling helpless too.
Lately I've become cold, but I won't say there isn't a hunger. Heck, solitude is one of my things. My situation shouldn't be the most difficult thing to deal with. I wish things were different. I wish I was som place else. I wish life would deal me a good set of cards once in a while. I wish I hadn't locked myself out of my office, with my car keys on my desk. It's freezing out here! And 21h48. And Raining. Go me. |

Vent: Why am I seeing snow on Entmoot? I shouldn't see it anywhere but on a poorly tuned TV, but my computer is showing lot's of snow today--purple snow. Are we in the middle of some sort of solar radiation storm that I am not aware of?
