Haha! Well, I wish I had been there to wave back, unless your trip past was between now and last Thursday afternoon.

You'll be one of the first to know about the Convention, so you can time one of your trips so it happens to fall on the first day of it.

Vent: We're on Temporary Venting Thread III very soon. That means more vents than the less successful Happy thread. But that does go as predicted...

O.o

I went in to 'clean up' my documents on my computer this evening, and wow. Just... wow. I have duplicates of at least 100 files, all mixed into different places, I have multiple folders for different things, all mixed into different places and in subfolders, and overall I have a bazillion other files that just need sorting.

So... this is going to take a while. *sigh*

Just for instance, I was looking at my entmoot files, and I realized I have three entmoot folders. One is in the main document file, the other is inside a Misc. file, and the third is inside a Forums file. And within those files are duplicates, single things, and even some files that don't belong under an entmoot category.

I am super frustrated tonight. I worked REALLY hard on this song, trying to get it ready, and have it prepared for my voice lesson. My voice had been slowly giving out on me all day (major allergy problems), but I thought that I kept it together pretty well, all things considered.

So then I go in to my voice teacher, and I sing the song for him. Then there's this LONG silence, and he's just looking at the sheet music, and I'm thinking, 'Okay, so did I sing it alright? Did I do it really badly? Say something, please...'

And then he says, "Well, I really don't like the song."

Excuse me, but WHO FRIGGIN' CARES? How about we actually focus on my -voice-, and whether I -sang- it well or not? Then I sang it again for him, and after more bashing on the song, I finally just said: "So, do you just not like the song, or am I singing it badly?"

"Oh, you sound fine. I just hate this song."

...................................

It would've been FANTASTIC to know that, saaaay... ten minutes earlier? This is a VOICE lesson, not freaking music appreciation 101.

He also kept going on, and on, and ON about how 'he would slow it down a lot more to show off his breath control.' Yes, and I'm sure he would also find a way to throw some more high notes in there. Maybe raise the key up a few steps. Just DAZZLE the crowd with his virtuosic skills.

Meanwhile, WHAT THE HELL EVER HAPPENED TO CARING ABOUT THE MUSIC BEFORE TRYING TO BE A HUGE SHOW OFF? GEEZE. It's people with that attitude who just ruin music. Oh, oh let me show off how many high notes I can hit, meanwhile destroying the musicality of the piece!

I don't want to show off. The song will allow me to do that well enough in it's natural form... if you want a song to show off with, then pick a show-y song! I DIDN'T. I wanted something simple, that would let me express the music itself, and really focus on ironing out the little things, like breath control and ascending notes.

*sigh* Anyways.

My nieces' two rabbits were killed by a fox yesterday. It managed to break into their cage.

Those rabbits were the cutest

Dude, someone's gonna need to start a new thread. Unfortunately, I am not coherent enough to try it.

VENT: I hate Inuyasha, and Bleach annoys me too. FMA isn't bad though. Otherwise, [adultswim] can stick their anime $**(&$)@)$*#!!!!!

That is all.
