Well, you'll have to ask the English about it, then. Though I expect they like plural name places. Take Nederland for example, what do they make of it? The Netherlands.

Ik begrijp dat je moe bent. It must be somewhere in the middle of the night for you, isn't it?

English speaking people are weird, that's all I have to say about it.

Yes, it's late here. But I'm in the mood for some Nederlands-speaking.

Frans, Italiaans, Spaans, Russisch, Duits, Japans, Chinees

Look Laai, at least 'Duits' is similar to 'Deutsch'. Not like all the other ones.

Laai, sorry. I got in the Swedish mood while writing that, so accidentally put in 'svenska'. I actually wanted to write it in Deutsch, but was to lazy to work out what case to use, whether it was feminine/masculine etc.
Wie heißt das auf Deutsch? Ich möchte viele deutsche Lieder haben?

Ja, ik kan verstaan het! Easy peasy.

Recht. Maar ik spreek geen Vlaams. Now, anyway. Soon, that'll change, nicht wahr?

'Ik kan het verstaan' of 'Ik versta het'. Niet 'Ik kan verstaan het.'

'Recht' isn't used in the was way as the English 'Right'. Better use 'Juist' .

Idiot me, how could I forget about cursed word order?

I have to learn how to pronounce that notorious 'ui' sound.

Let me guess... "Who knows learn I you ever well once true Flemish?"

It's 'mijn maag doet pijn' 'Kwetsen' is used in the way of inflicting hurt on somebody else.

Ag, man! Why'd I get sucked into learning Dutch? Why?

My version: Who knowledge learn I you ever once in a while really Flemish?

I still can't understand it, even with your better translation.

Oh and for Radagast:

-Aba, Ima, camuvan, Yisrael, TODA!

Alright then, what I wanted to say was: "Who knows I might teach you real Flemish one day."

Nehheh, you brought it on yourself.

Ja, genau. Ich möchte viele deutsche Lieder haben.
Ich bin stolz auf dich.
I know, I know. Stupid cases and everything.

While Christina Stürmer is an Austrian singer, I'll go for a German group this time.

Sportfreunde Stiller

in stillen Momenten leise,

Wenn man so will, bist du meine Chill-Out Area,
meine Feiertage in jedem Jahr,

We (the Swedes) call it Flandern. I guess the Germans do that too. When I was in Brussels I referred to the region as Flandres, which what it's called in French. I didn't know its Dutch name, but then I never spoke Dutch to the Belgians

Christina Stürmer - Mama ana ahabak

Just for you, my soul mate. I think "ana ahabak" is arabic for "I love you", but I am not quite sure.

Mama, sage mir was du meinst

Bridge:
sind das Sternschnuppen da oben
was ist dort vorbei geflogen
warum friere ich so sehr
warum schlägt dein Herz so schnell
wieso wird es dort hinten hell
und wo kommt dieser Donner her

Chorus:
Mama ana ahabak
Mama ich liebe dich
Mama ana ahabak
komm doch und beschütze mich

Mama, wohin sollen wir gehen
ich will nach hause,
es ist schon so spät
Mama, warum niederknien

Bridge 2:
Ziehe nicht so an meiner Hand
wieso drückst du mich an die Wand
und warum geh'n die Lichter aus
ich kann kaum noch etwas seh'n
sag wieso müssen wir hier steh'n
und warum gehen wir nicht nach haus'

Mama ana ahabak
Mama ich liebe dich
Mama ana ahabak
komm doch und beschütze mich
Mama ana ahabak
ich seh, die Sterne nicht
Mama ana ahabak
ich sehe nur dein Gesicht

Bridge 3:

Mama ana ahabak
Mama ich liebe dich
Mama ana ahabak
komm doch und beschütze mich
Mama ana ahabak
doch wenn die Nacht anbricht
Mama ana ahabak
sehe ich die Sterne nicht
ich sehe nur dein Gesicht
verlass mich bitte nicht

Danke Lai! Radagast tB and I both agree that it means 'I love you' as well.

Though I can't download it right now, I'm still downloading those English songs.

My Hebrew List:
-Aba, Ima, toda, camuvan, ken, lo, Yisrael, ivrit [= Mum, Dad, thanks, of course, yes, no, Hebrew]
-Ha'shem sheli... [= My name is....]
-Ani bat shesh esre.... [=I'm 16 years old]
-Ani ohevet lilmod safot....... [=I like learning languages]
-Ani me'australia..... [=I'm from Australia]

Ze kef! This is fun! I love Hebrew!
Toda raba, Rad!

Very good. So I know it for sure. Hehehe. I believe the two of you.

Bleib doch einmal cool
Und sei einfach du selbst

I'm not sure.
Ana is 'I am', no doubt, and I believe 'ahabak' can be love, it's 'ahava' in hebrew. But I'm not sure... I can ask my friend, he learns arabic in school. (I chose french)

Lin, I should've told you - 'My name is...' in hebrew would be 'Ha'shem sheli hu...' The 'hu' is the 'is' in English, in this sentence. there isn't a 'be' verb in hebrew.

No problem, Lin!
