It's New Years Day, just like the day before; Same old skies of grey, same empty bottles on the floor. Another year's gone by, and I was thinking once again, How can I take this losing hand and somehow win? Just give me One Good Year To get my feet back on the ground. I've been chasing grace; Grace ain't so easily found One bad hand can devil a man, chase him and carry him down. I've got to get out of here, just give me One Good Year! |

Some people get excited about small things.. I guess that's how you cope in this world.^^
Just a moment ago, I saw and heard (they have such a nice voice!) the wryneck (Jynx torquilla) for the first time in my life.. Today, while collecting ants, we saw the white-tailed eagle and the common buzzard (Buteo buteo), a couple of adders (Vipera berus) (they're up early this year! it's still quite cold outside..), a viviparous lizard (Lacerta/Zootoca vivipara) and lots and lots of ants.. mainly Formica fusca, that we were looking for, but also a couple of Camponotus-queens (they're impressive!). Now i just got back from a nice run after a long day of work, when i saw a roe deer (Capreolus capreolus). i like this place a lot.^^ Yesterday we were looking for ants on the military area (we needed permission to go, since they're having their shooting practice there). It was a nice place to be.. Lots and lots of forest, and a few birds of prey, too. The best thing about it, though, was that we found lots and lots of fruit in some places.. Oranges, bananas, sweet peppers, squash etc.. They’re winter feeding deer in the military areas. finland has such a cute army..XD

And all the sunny times here! It's been like real summer. I guess all this hot weather will end in a huge thunderstorm in a couple of days' time. And that will be just as great. ^^

I'm happy to start a new section at this time before the commuter rush hour.
