well, yes. but they were doing "theatrical fencing", that is, simply for show. lots of unneccesary flourishes and twists, as i'm sure you can imagine. also, they eventually just outright fought with whatever was near at hand. yeah...a bit...bond-sih!

But surely the basic concept is the same, even if they did add some stuff to it.

1) Nurvingiel was acting President
2) She is my VP, still 3) There's no way she's going to take over the dict...er, presidency. 4) If she runs in 08, I will vote for her, but will distance myself from campaigning because of what Jonathan endured from the support he got from JD...thereby causing Nurvi to win.

I was elected President of Entmoot in '04. I had 28 votes compared to SGH's 21...
It was a "real" election, yes. And term limits are four years, each term being that...you get the picture.

Basically, the job of the President seems to be A) be witty B) be pretty C) impose pointless and unobserved taxes D) read blatant lies about himself, and E) be otherwise quite powerless.
Just think, jammi, in only two years, this could be you...

I just might run, when the time comes.
I assume the candidates do not vote for themselves?

The point, dear jammi (may I call you Marmalade? ), is not age (though still 16 is pretty sproutish), but Moot-age.
