i LOVE skirts! my rather large rear and hips look awful in jeans (though my oh-so-blind fiancee would tell you otherwise) so skirts are the savior of my figure!

my favorite skirt i have is a long flowy bohemian style one in light green, kinda a tattered look at the bottom by my feet. *sigh* can't wait til spring when i can where it againa s it's too thin to wear in the cold

my other favorite is this black one i bought at a celtic fest this past fall. knee length with this awesome hem line that's long in the back and comes up in a "v" in the front... looks so good with fishnets and boots!

and btw, guys: kilts? yeah- EXTREMELY sexy...

i'm in a pipe band, and as well as enjoying wearing one, i also enjoy seeing dude's in them

Those sound like great skirts, Lady R!

and I agree, katt - skirts are definitely "throw-on" type things, and you can dress them up with a nice top and necklace/earrings and shoes, or dress them down with a casual top and flip-flops.

Being a very visual person, myself, I counted on it (and a couple of other threads

) to help me keep track of who I was talking to.

I feel I have a slightly better sense of it, now.

I like skirts. When they fit right, they are flowy and fun. They can be just casual, or fancy, can be paired with all kinds of interesting tops.

But I have this horrible problem finding skirts that fit me. I have short legs and... thighs that are just a tad too fat. I hate my knees, but I can't stand mid-calf skirts.
So, in short, I'd love to wear skirts, but I have a hard time finding ones I like.

That's a pain. I usually stick to sarongs, so I can adjust them as needed. I love sarongs...

Btw, that picture in the picture thread doesn't really look like me anymore. Heh, i've got more scars and shorter hair. And an eyepatch.
