Ah, someone else who's over 20. I read LotR first in 64 or so, and don't consider myself a deep thinker type -- my boyfriend was going around muttering "Aragorn son of Arathorn" and I got interested. . . Frodo Lives! was everywhere at my college. Praps it was only popular on campuses, but it sure was in the Middle West. Students communicated back then! (We had indoor plumbing too!)
But I expect you're right, it's more popular now because of the movies.

Ah, Frodo Lives is now forever written (well, until the end of the school eyar when we move and it gets torn down) on my English teacher's bulletin board, where other stupid things like "It's go time, Davey" are written.

I call one of my friends Gollum though, because she calls her saxaphone "Precious". No lie! She won't read the books, so that's another reason I call her that

we're doing exams all week at the moment and for each exam we get a new desk so at the moment i'm on a mission to get frodo lives on every single one.wish me luck!(there are about 50!)

I put Frodo Lives in my sig after I read this post, which I think was a month or so ago. I had read about it before (how it was started in the sixties). I think its cool. Now the police know where to find the people who put Frodo Lives! graffiti everywhere! (But I would call it art).

I got my name from a constellation of stars in the northern hemisphere (we can't see it here down under). Plus its the name of Frodos girlfriend in a parody of LOTR.
I have decided to write Frodo Lives! on a toilet sometime today, but one with graffiti already there. I wonder if this thread is going to be closed soon.
