Anyone like the Benjamin Gate? Saw them at Festival Con Dios and they RULE! Also, about Christian Music being 'real music', a lot of people have the wrong impression of 'Christian' music. There aren't a lot of Christian rock/hip-hop/rap/hits stations, so a lot of people think Christian music is Rachel Lampa, Steven Curtis Chapman and Micheal W. Smith. I like these artists, but that's not all there is. There are a very good amount of Christian Rock artists like Skillet, Pillar, Beleviable Picnic, The Benjamin Gate, etc. For rap you might try KJ-52, John Rueben or T-Bone. For those of you who say you don't like Christian music, try it before you diss it! There's a lot of good 'Christian' stuff out there

hehehehehe Christian Music

ok now ive heard it all... ummm it might just be that in aust christian music is regarded as crap by most people so they dont bother trying to flog it off down here but the trash that does slip by the filters is the most annoying sound ive ever heard, it is widely practiced where i live that once the add thats trying to sell you songs for worship comes on then you change the channel quicksticks... and might i add that while some of theses anti christian feelings comes from anti christian sentiment most comes from the plain shite quality of the music, need proof well Bob Marley is loved down here and most of his music was speakign about rastas and jah but again it isnt loved because it is Rastafarian music but because itis good music, thats the difference...
btw dont worry about me dissing the music coz my school, not only make us sit through assemblies about christianity, but had the nerve to play Christian music at the start... they tried that once and gave up heheheheh

Low quality? Sher, the raidio station close to me that plays Christian music has some really anoying commersails, but other then that, in my opinion, the 'Christian' music is just as good in quality as the pop rock and oldies and country and classic and what-not.

Well, I don't listen to rock style, Christian or otherwise. Not that I think it's evil or anything, just not my style.

I like hymns, Gregorian Chants, and praise and worship.

(No pun intended)

(No cliche intended, either)

By the way; they are having a concert in Philly on Thursday!

Relient K

The're a band made up of a few guys from Ohio--Their music isn't degrading at all (I agree with you that some "Christian" music definitely is, they make some pretty terrible comparisons). Some of Relient K's songs are just random stuff that doesn't make much sense.

To Sun-star: It's never to late for Christianity! What, do you expect you'll always have the chance later?

Well, it's over a year since I said that, but I think I meant that it was too late for me to be converted to Christianity because I already was. It was a joke.

Though is a joke a joke if you have to explain it?

correction: when we are talking music (and Rock in particular)
MANSON ROCKS THIS WORLD!
i was disgusted again when all the religious folk started abusing Manson fans outside of a concert same old same old, about them and Manson himself worshipping satan, Manson responded accordingly with "Satan worships us mother****ers" i thought that was great... i wonder if i would be tolerated going to a christian 'music' concert and abusing all there fans, because they didnt believe as i did, id like to try that one day...

I think Christian music is of poor quality. I mean come on you don't exactly have to be a good songwriter to make Christian music. I mean Creed started off as a Christian band. That proves that you don't need any talent.

I don't know if any of you watch South Park, but there was a great one on a little while ago. It was about Christian music: very funny.

I heard about that south park.THough funny,it's wrong.

Christian music can be of very good quality. I DO admit that some is low quality, though. Some artists seem to just take advantage of the industry in order to get into the music biz. These I don't like. But bands like DCTalk are very good, even outside the Christian scene. And being a Christian artist,
you DO have to write good lyrics, in order for it to BE Christian music. This is because you must tell something you beleive with all your heart,in amanner that others understand.

You're right about that. It is queer. People really get carried away. It's disgusting. I hate to hear stupid, cheesy things like that. People don't realize that you should not take so much liberty with something so sacred. Too bad, though. Can't be helped....
