Bergen is my favourite as well, even though I live close to Oslo. Bergen is smaller and very snugg. Plus, the nature around is splendid and the student life is great. I´m moving to Bergen to study when I get home from the Azores.

What does Bergen have that Oslo doesn't? Must be the fjords. If I ever get to be Mayor in this city I'm going to build fjords.
But we do have the Oslo fjord! But I agree, not quite the same without the mountains, though. But you can build mountains? ...No, thats no good, then you would crush my house and my favourite beaches!

Mwahahaha! It's not the same without mountains and (some) wild nature.

I've been to Norway once ( I promise I'll come many times again! ), and I was to Lofoten. That's one of the most beautiful places I've seen, if not the most beautiful.

But what's negative about living in Norway? If you want to talk about it..

The prices, oh the prices... Everything is so darn expensive in Norway - that's what's negative

Well - I'm sure except for Falagar Norway would be great. Have you thought about shipping him somewhere else - like Sweden? I heard Norway dumps a lot of their trash on Sweden.

Surreal Norway experience

THe Gammer and I went to Norway for our honeymoon (Bergen, then Flam on Sognefjord). Highly recommended, by the way.

I'd booked the hotel in Bergen over the net and chosen what was listed as their swankiest suite; since they claimed that "Norway's premier entertainer" always stayed in that suite when visiting Bergen, I felt reassured that it would be of sufficiently high swank level to provide a luxurious contrast to our normal dank hovel.

What I wasn't prepared for was the six giant (thrice life-size, full-length) photographs of said entertainer, captured in various on-stage comedy poses and facial girns, which were mounted on the pitched ceiling above the bed on both sides. No matter where you were in the room, his massive visage was there, leering at you like Big Brother in some surrealist dystopia.

Anyway, the bloke's second name was Nummes, I think. Can't remember his first name; maybe our Norwegian contingent can oblige. But I'll forever associate this dodgy Norman Wisdom type character with my honeymoon...

Yngvar Numme?
Well personally I think "Norway's premier entertainer" was a long shot ...

How about this one then.

And I agree, Yngvar Numme can hardly be called Norway's premiere entertainer.

I can't seem to get that one. But I think it's a blessing.

It just takes some time. Isn't that Yngvar's son, Artanis?

Oh, and JD: Don't think I didn't notice your comment, but we sent it all away years ago.
