Actually Sis, I was asking if you really rode over your phone once with a truck

Well shucks ^_^.
When I was housesitting a while back, the guy had an old-fashioned, disconnected rotary phone (the kind where the mouth piece was the base and the earcone was connected with a wire) and it had a rotary thing at the base and I seriously spent forever playing with that thing and pretending to dial people. Then, yes, I did have a few imaginary conversations over it because I'm crazy and find that enjoyable . |

We still have an old field phone and my grandmother has a rotary phone as well.

When I was a child (this was back in the 1960s, just after the Stone Age ) we didn't have a phone at all, so we had to go to our neighbour who was running the central (would that be the word?) and use a public phone there.
When someone phoned, they got to the central, and a small metal lid, usually covering a hole, dropped down to indicate which line was trying to connect. She then connected to that line, asked them who they wanted, and put two plugs into the holes for the lines that were to be connected. When they stopped talking, she disconnected the plugs. How would she know that they had stopped talking, you may ask? When she wasn't sure, she asked.

Not it. I have some Apple Cranberry juice here, though. I don't mind sharing.
