I have read a little of that. I was surpriced that I could understand what it said there. I think that the language in El Señor de los anillos was too complicated. (I'm not quite sure about this, anything else than the present tense of the verbs are still difficult.) Trabajo mucho en esa leyendo. Pienso que lo es más fácil que por ejemplo El Mundo o El PaĂ*s.

Esta conversación es más estúpida.
Ruinel: I've translated your sentence to Spanish (warning - bad language):

Minta translations! Ai!
Uhh...dalam Bahasa Indonesia atau Bahasa Inggris, terimah kasih?
Saya tidak bicara banyak Bahasa Swedia, Bahasa Norway (don't know this one in Indo), Bahasa Perancis atau Bahasa Jerman. Aku merasa bodoh sekali. Aku kira kamu selalu membicarakan 'quack' atau 'ribbit' atau aku terlalu banyak! Mengapa kamu hanya membicarakan saya? Menurit pendapat saya, karena kamu tahu saya tidak bicara Bahasa Perancis, Jerman atau Spaniol banyak. Rui and Artanis can probably work out this one together... Oh, dan Artanis juga bernama 'Arty'. Dan Ruinel adalah 'sehick.' (The latter contains a fictional word, eheh) Last edited by Linaewen : 06-25-2003 at 06:21 AM. |

Artanis, could you explain the main differences between the two Norwegian languages, (bokmĂĄl og nynorsk)?
I know there are a few words that are different, like 'jeg' and 'eg' (both meaning 'I'), 'ikke' and 'ikkje' (both meaning 'not'). Is the spelling of the words the only thing that separates the languages or are their grammatic differences too?

This brings back bad memories from school, when we had to learn written nynorsk, and even had exams on the topic. Ugh.
Both words and grammar are different, but not to a large extent. For instance, the conjugation of verbs and nouns is a bit different. There are no main differences really, but there are many small differences, but they're large enough to confuse the poor students.
