Are we on number 12 now?
12=there are 12 months in the Shire calendar The Shire calendar is the calendar that the Shire folk go by (it has 12 months in it). |

E is for the Endless Stair of Moria that even to the Dwarves was but a rumor, but which really existed and up which Gandalf chased the Balrog right to the top where it opened in Durin's Tower carved into the pinnacle of Zirakzigil. It was destroyed during the battle between Gandalf and the Balrog.
11 - The number of stars and constellations listed in one sentence in "Of the Coming of the Elves" in The Silmarillion:
There is some debate over the correspondence of some of these stars and constellations with real stars today, though others are quite clear.

13 Valar under Manwe? How do you come up with that?
Anyway, Seven seems to have gotten skipped. 7 - The Seven Seeing-stones Globes of obsidian? of great power made by the Elves of Aman, the Seeing-stones allowed one to look across space, and to communicate with the keeprs of another Stone.

Weren't there more Valar? Those were the "lords and ladies" of the Valar, I seem to remember...
Edit: When I think it over, I can't remember any more Valar...

There are 7 ladies and 7 lords of the Valar. As you can see there are in my list 14 Valar (when you adds Manwe).
